Minute Activity
Clean vs. Unclean
Make a list (or print out pictures) of animalsthat the Jews would have considered clean andunclean. If you need help, this website gives alot of help: http://www.ucg.org/booklet/what-does-bible-teach-about-clean-and-unclean-meats/does-new-testament-abolish-meat-distinc-1/
Have your children separate the animals insome fun way (throw paper balls at the un-clean, etc.).
After that, talk about how this is the way Jewslived for centuries, but how they also viewedGentiles as unclean in a religious sense. Fi-nally, explain that this is why Peter and othershad so much difficulty in understanding thatthe Gospel should go to the Gentiles, too.
