The England king’s were too busy fighting so the Viking’s

left easily. But they stayed in England for 14 years.

suprise attack in Lindisfarne.

INVADE ENGLAND!

AD 900- Viking’s rule the north of Scotland, the Orkney and Shetland isles and the Herbrides island of the west coast for 500 years. AD 1000- Viking’s sailed to North America and start the settlement. AD 1001- Leif Ericsson (Son of Eric the Red) sailed west to find Greenland and establish a colony. He also lands in 1001. AD 1002- King Sweyn of Denmark invades England. Etheired, the king of England leaves. AD 1016- King Knut and his sons became King of England from AD 1016- 1042. AD 1066- Engand is conquered by William, Duke of Normandy.

And the Viking’s did anything they want. They became violent and they did so many things.

What happen?

Mother, I’m very sad to say that the Viking age has end.

King Alfred the Great stopped s from taking all England!

Is that why the Viking’s fail?
