• A Network is a collection of terminals, computers, servers and components which allows easy flow of data and use of resources among them.
Basics of Wireless Network
Basically Networks are classified in two categories1. Wired network
- Telecommunication System- LAN System
2. Wireless Network- Cellular Network- WLAN- WPAN- WSN
Wireless Network• A wireless network allows you to connect
your computer to a network using radio waves instead of wires.
• As long as you are within the range of wireless coverage area, you can move your computer from one place to another place while maintaining access to networked resources.
• This can make networking extremely portable.
• Wireless network refers to any type of computer network that is “wireless”, and is commonly associated with telecommunications network whose interconnections between nodes are implemented without the use of wires.
Wireless Networking Issues• Traffic and Resources Allocation• Flow Control• Error Control• Security and Privacy• Mobility • Routing • QoS Management• Radio Access• Power management• Pricing
