Your extraordinary efforts incombatting hate crimes and bullying in Broward County exemplifies an ongoing commitment tomake your community a better place to live and work. The committee was extremely impressedwith your credentials for this award, including your appointment to oversee BSOs first HateCrimes/Anti-Bias Task Force, your acceptance of the Community Alliance Award by the DolphinDemocrats of Broward County, and your work with the Anti-Defamation League and the

    Southern Poverty Law Center to screen the film Bullied in several Broward County venues toraise awareness of the scourge of anti-Gay bullying in the school system.

    We concur with Sheriff Al Lamberti, who nominated you for this honor, on your unwaveringdedication and involvement with various initiatives. It is clear from his nomination narrative thatyour efforts are highly respected and appreciated amongst both your colleagues and thecommunity at-large.     The Award ceremony and presentation will take place during the Florida ADLs Regional BoardMeeting, which will be held at the Westin Hotel located at 400 Corporate Drive in FortLauderdale on April 3, 2012 at 6:00 PM.
