Camping is an excellent way for people with disabilities to return to the outdoors and requires

no special equipment.

Scuba Diving and Spear Fishing can give a person with disabilities freedom

from gravity and independence.

Scuba Diving and Spear Fishing requires a certification from a

reputable diving agency. PADI is a well known diving agency that accommodates people with disabilities.

Page 10: Adapted Sports

It may be more difficult for divers that are unable to move their legs to propel themselves while

underwater.

Underwater Scooters can be used by people with disabilities

to help propel the individual through the water.

Page 11: Adapted Sports

Hunting is a activity that requires little

modification for people with

disabilities. While hunting animals is

not for everyone, teaching someone

target shooting is a cheap and easy

way to allow people with disabilities to

stay active.

Page 12: Adapted Sports

Snow Skiing is an

exciting and fast paced

sport that gives people

with disabilities the

chance to get compete

and get the speed they

crave.

Adapted Snow Ski’s are needed and range from $1,000-$6,000.

These ski’s can be rented at most ski resorts.

Page 13: Adapted Sports

Adapted Water Skiing is a great sport for people with disabilities to try. It requires use of an

adapted water ski that can be rented or purchased by most rehabilitation centers.

Page 14: Adapted Sports

Bowling is cheap and

fun activity for people

with disabilities to try.

Bowing requires no

modifications and is

actually cheaper for

people using

wheelchairs because

they are not required

to rent bowing shoes.

Page 15: Adapted Sports

Exploring the outdoors is

another cost effective way for

people with disabilities to stay active and enjoy

life.

Exploring the outdoors requires no modifications

and is only limited to what the person can physically achieve.

Or Just Enjoying Life!

Adapted Activities Give Different Meaning to Everyone.

Some May Do It For the Rush…Others May Do it To Relax.

REMEMBER…..

• YOU HAVE ONE SHOT AT LIFE, TAKE ADVATAGE OF IT!

CONSIDER WHAT THEY CAN DO

•MOST IMPORTANT: LIFE ROLLS ON!
