This Addendum consists of 3 pages and 7 attachments. This Addendum is to clarify scope discussed at the tender meeting, answer questions and revise the scope to include replacement of the existing balcony/patio doors with new fiberglass doors. QUESTIONS: Question 1: Are the window colours to be bronze anodized out/white in? Response: The windows are to be Dark Bronze Duranar XL exterior and White
Duracron interior as per Sections 08 44 13 (2.3.1) and 08 50 00 (2.3.2). Question 2: Is the glass for all windows to be 4mm tempered glass? Response: The glass is to be 4mm tempered as per Section 08 80 50 (2.1.2). Question 3: I believe the style of storm doors is Self Storing, but I don’t see the sizes
or colour anywhere on the drawing. Can you please confirm? Response: The storm doors are to be as specified in the Scope of Work Item 2.4.
Colour is to be brown. Approximate dimensions are included on the Attached revised drawings.
Question 4: For the slider windows, are they to be tilt sliders or 4 panel sliders? Response: The sliders should be 4-panel, single glazed sliders. Question 5: The Alumicor 970 is not compatible with a slider configuration, should we
substitute the Alumicor EasySlide 250 slider? Response: Yes, the EasySlide 250 slider is an appropriate product for the operable
sashes. CLARIFICATIONS: Clarification 1: The Contractor is to remove and dispose of the existing awnings over the
windows where they are still present. SCOPE OF WORK: Modify Clause 2.4.3: Add: “Door to have curved lever style handle.” Add Clause 2.4.3.4: “Or approved equivalent.” Modify Clause 2.5: to be Clause 2.6 Item F: Cash and Contingency Allowances Add Clause 2.5: Item E: Replace Doors

gas. Interior pane of glass to be frosted for privacy. Sash Lock: Metal cam lock Door Jamb shall be wood grain composite as manufactured by Weston Wood Solution or approved equal: Jamb code: RWCSJ6984 Brickmould code: RWCSB100
Levers and locks: Standard of Acceptance: K2 Commercial Hardware Lever Name and Code: QTL230 passage; Essex (ESX); Satin Chrome Deadbolt: Single Side Deadbolt (interior operation) in Satin Chrome Hinges:
Each operable door panel is to be installed with three (3) standard weight full mortise 4” butt hinges fastened with four (4) screws each. At least two (2) of the screws at each hinge are to be #10 sized to penetrate structural wall/framing by 50mm (2”) minimum.
Weather Seals:
Door frame shall be fabricated featuring a vinyl-wrapped foam-filled compression design that is kerf installed. Corner seals shall be installed to the rabbet section of the door frame at the bottom of the hinge and lock jamb. Adjustable vinyl bottom sweep (with minimum of three (3) integral fins) shall be sealed and securely attached to the operable door panel.

Insect Screens:
Manufactured in accordance with CAN/CGSB-79.1-M91. 18x14 or 18x16 fibreglass mesh count. Tamper proof frame fasteners. Aluminum frames, colour matched to door frame. Mount the insect screens to match existing.
