1. Replace Page 1 of the Bid Form with the attached revised Page 1 (Alternates fortapered insulation have been added).

Section 07 22 16 Roof Insulation Over Cementitious Wood Fiber Deck (Tectum)

1. Item No. 2.02 A. Roof Insulation (Page 1): Add new Item 2.02 A. 5. As follows:

5. ALTERNATE - Tapered insulation design for Areas A and F only:a. Slope: 1/8-inch per foot.b. Average R-value of 20.0 for total insulation system.c. Maximum panel, fill, and base layer thickness: 2.0 inches.d. No ponding water after 48 hours of weather conducive to drying.

Section 07 72 00 Roofing Accessories

1. Delete entire section and replace with attached revised section.

SECTION 07 72 00

ROOFING ACCESSORIES PART 1 - GENERAL 1.01 SUMMARY

A. Section includes specifications for special roofing accessories. 1.02 CONFLICTS

A. Immediately refer any conflicts among requirements of these specifications, those of regulatory agencies, material manufacturers, and good roofing practices to the Owner for resolution.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.01 ROOF HATCH (Area C)

A. Roof access hatch and safety rail system: “Bilco Roof Hatch,” size to fit existing roof hatch deck opening) with “Bil-Guard Hatch Rail System,” manufactured by The Bilco Company.

B. Extendable ladder-mounted safety post: “Ladder Safety Post,” manufactured by

The Bilco Company. 2.02 INTERIOR LADDER (Area C)

A. Replacement interior ladder at roof hatch: “Model 560 – Fixed Wall ladder,” manufactured by Alaco Ladder Company, Chino, California (or approved equal).

1. Size and configuration, as necessary, to accommodate existing

conditions and meet OSHA, Federal, State, Local, and Owner mandated requirements.

2.03 PIPE SUPPORTS

A. Prefabricated pipe supports: Such as “C-Port C10 Channel Support,” for roof top support of gas and refrigeration piping systems, cable trays, electrical conduit, and HVAC equipment (height and width to accommodate existing conditions); supplied by Big Rock Supply, 330 Meyer Road, Bensenville, Illinois 60106, (800) 859-4077.

PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.01 ROOF HATCH (Area C)

A. Field assemble and install the roof access hatch, safety rail system, and extendable safety post in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and requirements. Set the hatch over 6-inch nominal width wood blocking as required to attain 8-inch (minimum) roof base flashing height.

3.02 INTERIOR LADDER (Area C)

A. Install the interior ladder in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions,

meeting all OSHA, Federal, State, Local, and Owner mandated requirements. 3.03 PIPE SUPPORTS

A. Install pipe supports where required at all existing gas and refrigeration piping systems, cable trays, electrical conduit, and HVAC equipment.
