ADDENDUM #02

Project: # 16-010 Solano Community College District Paving Assessment Project

Date: March 15, 2016

The following clarifications are provided based on questions received or changes in District requirements and must be added/considered when completing your submittal: Acknowledgement of receipt of this ADDENDUM is required in the proposal’s cover letter of introduction. Please clearly note the addendum date and number.

ITEM:

ITEM NO. 1 – ANSWERS TO SUBMITTED QUESTIONS

QUESTION – It was mentioned in the meeting that a BASEMAP TPO via AutoCAD/PDF would be provided to the attendees. ANSWER – A pdf basemap of the Fairfield Campus has been attached to this Addendum. A CAD file of the basemap will be emailed to all attendees of the mandatory pre-bid meeting.

QUESTION – Our firm respectfully submits the following questions to the Solano Community College District regarding its SOQP for the Pavement Assessment Project:

1. Does the cover letter count toward the page 10 page limit? 2. Can we include resumes as an appendix? 3. Please confirm of the Example Reports should be enclosed as 5 separate

bound documents, not part of the 10 page limit. 4. What is the District’s budget for this project? 5. Do the proposed fee schedule and the standard rate sheet count toward the

10 page limit? 6. Would the District consider the following proposed modifications to the

Indemnifications portion of the Agreement for Professional Services?

a. 13. Indemnification. To the furthest extent permitted by California law, Contractor shall reimburse the apportioned costs to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the District, its Governing Board, agents, representatives, officers, consultants, employees, trustees, and volunteers (the “indemnified parties”) from any and all pure economic claims to the extent caused by arising out of, pertaining to, or relating to the negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct of the Contractor. The District shall have the right to accept or reject any legal representation that Contractor proposes to defend the indemnified parties. As to Claims for professional liability only, Consultant’s obligation to defend Indemnitees (as set forth above) is limited to the extent to which its professional liability insurance policy will provide such defense costs.

ANSWER – See below for corresponding answers to numbered questions above: 1. Cover Letter will not count against the 10 page double sided page limit. 2. Please include resumes in the ‘Staff Qualifications’ section of your submittal. 3. Confirmed. Please provide Example Reports as separately bound documents.

Example Reports will not count against the 10 page double sided limit. 4. A construction budget for this project has not been established. 5. The proposed fee schedule and the standard rate sheet will not count against

the 10 page double sided page limit. 6. The District will not consider modifications to the Agreement for Professional

Services. All respondents must include with their submittal a statement that the terms of the example Agreement for Professional Services Agreement are acceptable. Please note that any exceptions or changes requested to the Agreement may constitute grounds to reject the proposal.
