Print this page and next page on CARDSTOCK. Cut out The Five Family rec-tangle as one piece. Using a craft knife, cut around the solid lines on each box. Fold them up, using the dotted lines as your guide. When you are finished, you will have ten windows. Cut out the rectangle on the next page. Add thin strips of glue to the gray areas. Glue the two pieces to-gether. Write answers under the windows.

My Fact FamilyHouses

Directions: Print out as many factfamily houses as desired. Staple together at the top. Get a deck of cardsand pull out two sets of just the numbers 1 (ace) through 10. Place upside down.Have the child draw two cards.In the roof of the house, write thosetwo numbers on the bottom sets of lines. Then fill in the chart.

This can be done with a set of 2 dice. However, facts then are only learned through the 6's.

For example, child draws a 2 and an 8.On the roof lines write 2 , 8 Go to the house. In the addition column,write 2 + 8 = 10. Then, reverse...write 8 + 2 = 10. Then subtract...write 10 – 2 = 8 andwrite 10 – 8 = 2.On the top line of the roof, write 10.

Print this page on CARDSTOCK. Cut out the two pieces. Using a craft knife, cut the slits on the slider piece. Carefully put the top of the equation strip under the top slit on the slider. Your student should be able to move the slider up and down the strip to reveal the problems. He can say the answers as he goes. Glue only the very top and very bottom of the equation strip to your lapbook.
