    - Mould & Yeast 1 log reduction at the end of 4 cycle of inoculation.

    - Accepted deviation of 0,5 log. Possible increasing between cycles caused by the new inoculation

  • CMIT/MIT ® Unique mechanism of action

CMIT/MIT is an active with a unique method of action based in a enzymatic disruption attack that improve inhibition of respiration ,ATP generation and the assimilation growing.

The disruption of the cellular metabolism and the accumulation of damage beyond the capacity of the cell to repair results in cell death , this disruption action combined with electrophilic direct

attack , secondary electrophile generation and an intracellular generation of free radicals stresses the cell´s natural radical defense mechanism .

  • innovative preservation systems

SENSICARE® is a new range of preservatives based on active substances with improved eco-

    toxicity.

Inspired in the microbial control technology from the food industry, Chemipol started a modern research

program to develop innovative preservatives for the personal care industry.

The objective was to decrease the amount of biocidal actives in contact with the skin while, at the same

    time, ensuring optimum protection.

The successful result of this on-going research program is the preservatives range SENSICARE® based

on the concept of self-preservation and hurdle technology for the microbial control.

  • ORGANIC ACIDS AND ITS SALTS are considered together with

benzyl alcohol as a unique category respect human health because

they are quickly metabolized (24 hours) and excreted of our body

    through the common pathways.

The method of action of all organic acids are based in the protonated

acid form that enter in the cell crossing the membrane, only the

protonated can do this process the neutralized form it´s rejected by

the membrane.Inside of the cell the acid will be dissociated and

change the internal pH of microorganism. The bacteria need to pump

outside the protons and need to chapt the most quantity of Na to

neutralize this acid pH , this energy consumer process and the

internal pH cause a stress situation that becomes in the death of the

    microorganism.

Bacteria can inactivate this method of action neutralizing inside the

cell the protonated acid with sodium and extract the neutralized form

out of the cell being rejected by the membrane again.

  • boosting technology

    Glyceryl Laurate method of action

For its acceptable toxicity and stability over a wide range of formulations,

phenoxyethanol has become an active present in a large number of preservation

    systems.

Glyceril laurate is a mild natural based surfactant derived from glycerin and lauric

acid that boosts the antimicrobial efficacy of phenoxyethanol, acids and benzyl

alcohol by acting on the surface tension of the microorganisms’ cell membrane.

Glyceryl laurate also shows hair conditioning properties and it is a strategic

    ingredient for non-grease skincare formulations.

Acts as a co-emulsifier with other surfactants.

Enhances the aesthetics of formulations with excellent rub-out

Creates superior stability in all types of emulsions.

By its mechanism of action, it allows the development of cosmetic formulations

with lower concentration of preservative substances while providing optimal

    preservation.

  • SENSICARE® C 1000

SENSICARE® C 1000 is a liquid preservative for personal care formulations based on phenoxyethanol and

    glyceril laurate.

It combines the well-known preservation properties of the phenoxytanol, with its acceptable toxicity

profile and excellent stability in personal care formulations, with the boosting capacities of the glyceryl

laurate altogether with its properties as co-emulsifier, improves rub-out and enhanced stability.

  • SENSICARE® C 1000 microbiological profile

The balanced formulation of SENSICARE® C 1000 as preservative reduces the surface tension of the microorganism’s cell membrane, disrupts it and inhibits the metabolic function, impairs the enzymatic activity and occurs microbe inactivation.

SENSICARE® C 1000 is effective against gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, molds and yeasts. It requires short contact time to control microbial growth and provides strong self-preservation properties. By its action, when used in a heavily contaminated system may occur loss of active ingredients.

  • SENSICARE® NAT

MIC and MBCMinimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) is understood as the lowest concentration of the preservative solution that inhibits the growth of a determined microorganism.

Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) is understood as the lowest concentration of the preservation solution that kills 99.9 % of a determined bacteria.

The assays performed on SENSICARE® NAT have shown that the its effectiveness in terms of MIC and MBC is nearly the same, showing

therefore an antibacterial activity at dose level.

MechanismThe complex formulation of SENSICARE® NAT facilitate a multiple path for the interaction of the different active ingredients present in the

system with the microorganisms which will lead to them to a failure and death.

This multiple mechanism of activity increases the antibacterial properties.

MultifunctionalityThe different components of SENSICARE® NAT are not strictly antibacterial agents, and provide to the formulation where used other

    properties.

The natural origin of these components of SENSICARE® NAT is responsible for these properties such as antioxidant, humectant,

    conditioning etc.

  • SENSICARE® NAT

    Natural extracts

The use of natural sources provides a rich blend of active ingredients that provide a great variety of chemistry.

Many of the components of these extracts have antibacterial properties.

The multiplicity of active ingredients with antibacterial activity ensures a broader activity spectra.

Moreover, other properties are associated to them providing further benefits to their used in personal care formulations.

Phenolic compounds are within these components present in different forms of the family of flavonoids (catechins, epicatechin,

    procyanidin, etc.).

Other elements of much interest are ascorbic acid, tocopherols, citric acid, limonoids, sterols, etc.

    Flavonoids

Flavonoids are a family of hydroxylated phenolic compounds naturally found in plants and fruits.

They are found in our daily diet.

They provide many benefits to our health.

    They have antibacterial properties.
