Sr. Process Engineer June 2010 – Apr-2013

Joined the WorleyParsons as a Process Engineer and promoted to Sr. Process Engineer in 2011. Worked on following Pipeline/Offshore/Gas processing projects.

Umm Shaif Oil Network Expansion Project – FEED

• Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) aims to sustain Umm Shaif Field annual average production of 275 MBD for that assurance is required that Umm Shaif existing infield oil gathering network is adequate to sustain this oil production target. To achieve this, all constraints in the Umm Shaif pipeline network system are to be removed in a phased manner. ADMA OPCO selected WorleyParsons as FEED engineering contractor. The project consists of three new radials, five new infield pipelines, one manifold tower, one riser platform and modification to 8 existing wellhead towers.

Worked / took part on following activities:• Performed PIPESIM steady state simulation of complete USSC network including new pipelines / radials and existing pipelines.

Optimization and finalization of new pipelines sizes considering operating envelop from year 2016 till 2034.• Determined the topside pipe sizes of WHTs using hydraulic simulation.• Developed P&IDs and PFDs.• Performed / reviewed different calculations i.e. PSV sizing / equipment sizing / pump sizing etc.• Reports writing i.e. Process Basis of Design, Process Description, Hydraulic report etc.

ADMA OPCO 100 MBSPD Project (Detailed Engineering)• Worley Parsons is awarded a Detailed Engineering Project (the FEED of the project was also done by Worley Parsons) to modify

existing Zakum West Super Complex (ZWSC) facility to handle additional 100 MSTBPD crude from Thamama IV & Thamama • The project involves the modifications on ADMA OPCO’s (ADMA OPCO is Abu Dhabi’s major oil production company) one

of the strategic offshore platform called ZWSC (Zakhum West Super Complex).• The production of oil after completion of project will be increased from 360 thousand stock tank barrel per day to 460 thousand

stock tank barrel per day. As a senior process engineer I performed / took part in following activities:

• Performed HYSYS steady state simulation for the entire network starting from wet feed arrival upto oil storage.• Performed PIPESIM hydraulic simulation which involves 5 subsea pipelines. The HYSYS and PIPESIM simulations in this

project are iterative i.e. result from one simulation is input data for the other and vise versa.• Performed line sizing / control valve sizing / PSV sizing / equipment sizing calculations.• Prepared the data sheet of DELIQUIDISER (new online liquid separating technology) and evaluated the vendor offers.• Developed the operating and control philosophy document.• Took part and reviewed HYSYS DYNAMIC SIMULATION, which has been carried out to confirm the operating and control

philosophy.• Reports writing i.e. Design Basis, Simulation Report, Hydraulic Report etc.• Prepared PFDs and Heat and Material Balance.• Took part in P&ID preparation and optimization activity.• Assisted and reviewed the FLARENET model developed for the entire platform.• Actively took part in Outage Optimization Study. This study has been carried out to minimize the shutdown period of the Super

Complex and to carry out the modifications and commissioning in different stages.• Took part in HAZOP workshop.

ZADCO Mixed Mode Gas Project (Concept / FEED)• ZADCO has appointed WorleyParsons as an engineering contractor to carry out the FEED of a project called ZADCO Mixed

Gas Handling Project. The objective of the project was to propose the necessary modifications and investigate the changes required on ADMA OPCO’s Zakhum West Super Complex due to the changes in ZADCO gas composition.

• Performed steady state HYSYS simulation and prepared Heat and Material Balance.• Performed PIPESIM hydraulic simulation.• Performed line sizing / control valve sizing / equipment adequacy check calculations.• Prepared the data sheet of DELIQUIDISER (new online liquid separating technology).• Developed the operating and control philosophy document.• Reports writing i.e. Design Basis, Simulation Report, Hydraulic Report etc.• Prepared PFDs and Heat and Material Balance.• Prepared P&IDs.• Took part in HAZOP workshop.

GASCO Hydrocarbon Acid Gas Flare Recovery Project (Concept / FEED)• GASCO (Abu Dhabi Gas Company) awarded WorleyParsons, the FEED the project called “Hydrocarbon Acid Gas Recovery

Project”. This was an environment driven project and aim was to reduce the acid gas flare venting to “Zero Flaring” as per GASCO’s environment standards. The project involves recovering the normal flaring sour gas from Acid Gas Flare by a tap off in the flare header and routing the gas back to processing units via a Gas Recovery Unit (comprises of a set of compressors, knock out drums and air coolers).

• Performed site visits and collected data to have a head start.• Performed HYSYS simulations.• Developed PFDs, P&IDs and generated Heat and Material Balance.• Extensively used FlareNet to check the back pressure on existing instruments / equipments due to additional facilities.• Establish the acid gas recovery scheme.• Carried out the gas recovery compressor selection study. Acid gas flare being operated at very low pressure therefore gas

recovery compressor selection is the most critical activity of the project.• Report writing.• Took part in HAZOP & SIL Study.

ADMA OPCO Compressor Impact Study• As a sequential of 100 MBD FEED project ADMA OPCO awarded WorleyParsons a study to check the adequacy of different

compressor stations (GG-II, GPF, GIP, CGIP), located at ZWSC platform, for the modified gas production profile resulted in 100 MBD FEED.

• Developed the adequacy checking methodology for the gas compressor units (including vessels, heat exchangers, compressors etc).

• Simulated the Gas compressor platforms (GG-II, GPF, GIP & CGIP) including Hydrocarbon dew point control unit and condensate handling system i.e. Condensate Stripper.

• Used vendor performance curves to check the adequacy of compressors.• Report writing.• Performed necessary calculations.

ADMA OPCO 100 MBSPD Project (FEED)• Worley Parsons is awarded a FEED to modify existing Zakum West Super Complex (ZWSC) facility to handle additional 100
