Our Career Transition Management coaching program and CV coaching service are designed to support Australian Defence Members in their move from a military career to civilian employment. We focus on providing you with what you really need: personalised oneonone consultation time, up to 12 months of career transition support and an interviewgenerating CV. The services are funded by the ADF through the Career Transition Assistance Scheme (CTAS) (depending on eligibility) or can be selffunded. Overview Our career coaching program is designed to assist you plan and implement a career transition strategy, assess opportunities (including entrepreneurship or active retirement) and redeploy your expertise and skills to swiftly achieve your postDefence employment goals. We will work with you to align your interests, skills and background with targeted opportunities in the civilian job market. CV coaching is included in the program or can be utilised as a standalone service if required. Proven job search methodologies The program is based upon proven job search methodologies that successfully facilitate employment in the civilian workforce. Expert coaching Guided by specialist Defence transition consultants with experience in a range of industries, you will receive indepth coaching on how to plan and implement an effective career transition. Comprehensive support The program covers key areas for exiting defence personnel including financial planning, career direction, selfmarketing, marketing materials, networking advice and interview coaching. It includes access to recruiters and HR contacts, feedback on applications and ongoing job search support. The program can be tailored to your requirements, so that your individual needs are met. Module 1 – Coping with change• Adjust to civilian employment• Minimise potential negative consequences• Succeed in career transition with minimal

personal and financial disruption.

Module 2 – Assessment• Review career history and achievements• Identify key skills, motivators and values• Refine and articulate your personal value to

the civilian market• Assess potential career directions and

industries, including self­employment andretirement options

• Identify and set short and long term careergoals to enable a targeted search strategy

• Address potential obstacles such as age,career gaps or changes in career direction.

Module 3 – Projecting strengths• Develop quality resumes that convey your

skills and experience to the reader andgenerate interviews

• How to submit online applications• Advice on creating an online identity and

brand, including developing a LinkedIn profilefor online networking

• Advice on using telephone and email when jobsearching.

Module 4 – Job search strategy• Create a proactive job search plan to achieve

career goals and secure an ideal role• Advice on organising a job search and

managing time effectively• Tools to manage contacts, store job search

documentation and to track applications.• Identify, leverage and expand a professional

network to give access to the hidden jobmarket

• Use social media to gain a competitiveadvantage in the job market

• Advice on discovering job opportunities whichare not being advertised

• Guidance on researching and accessingpotential employers and opportunities

• Advice on working with recruitmentagencies.

Module 5 – Interviewing and negotiating• Interview preparation• Coaching to build performance and success in
