Adhesive Bonded Carpet ADHESIVE BONDING - Adhesive bonding is

used to fasten two surfaces together, usually producing a smooth bond. This joining technique involves glues, epoxies, or various plastic agents that bond by evaporation of a solvent or by curing a bonding agent with heat, pressure, or time.

Fusion bonding

1. Two backing fabric are spread with PVC plastisol and fed towards each other and to the point of carpet formation.

2. The curtains of pile yarn is folded and pressed into the adhesive by two reciprocating blades.

3. The carpet sandwich passes through an infrared oven which causes the plasticiser and PVC to fuse into a stiff gel.

4. A very short period of cooling, the gel sets and sandwich is cut with reciprocating knife& two resulting carpet are rolled up.

Fusion Bonding Patterning System, U -Tuft Backing material is coated with hot melt adhesive and

rows of tuft cut from the spools are pressed into the adhesive with a steel blade.

Uses an electronic jacquard to present the pile to the adhesive system in the form of a design.

Eight colour are possible on the standard machine.

The pitch of the machine is equivalent to 1/8 gauge and 4-10 tuft rows/in. can be inserted.

It is a face to face system that can produce either plain carpet for screen printing or random petterns that can be reproduced.

Operates in one meter width and is dedicated to the production of tiles.

Pile is build up across the direction of manufacture between two fiberglass scrims coated with PVC adhesive.
