Assignments:

Word count: Copied the .txt file from the local file machine into HDFS and counted

the repeated the number of times a word got repeated and also

counted the number of words with same length using MapReduce

program.

Sub-Patents count: Copied the .txt file having the actual data from the local machine into

HDFS then wrote and ran a MapReduce task on a Single-node Hadoop

cluster to get the total no. of Sub-patents present within the main

Patent type.

Maximum and Minimum

Temperature: The input file was initially copied from the local file system to HDFS

and then a MapReduce program was written in eclipse to find the

maximum and minimum temperatures for a specific year and ran

through CLI. The same program was also executed using PIG and

HIVE.

Project Title : Built A Constant Current Source Using DC-DC Push-Pull Converter

Organization : Neo-Tele Tronix Pvt.Ltd. (NTPL), Kolkata.

Duration : January 14-May 14

The project was aimed at developing a constant current source using Push Pull converter

topology which would be cheaper, handy and work with high efficiency. This can be used in

those devices where a constant source of current is required. I was involved in the

assembly and testing of the equipment.
