    INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS

    NORMS FOR CREATION OF ADMISSION AND INFO CENTRES

    For effective and efficient functioning of an Admission and Information Centre, it is of prime

    importance that the organization is owned and managed by professionals. The Institute should alsohave experience in conducting undergraduate and post-graduate programmes of recognizedUniversities in field. The number of Admission and Information Centers to be created in a city will

    depend on the size of the city and number of students likely to be enrolled. However, as aguideline, another centre may not be created within five kilometers radius on an existing Admission

    and Information Centre in a small city and within three kilometers radius in a big city as far as

    possible. The following infrastructure is the guideline principle for approval of the Admission andInformation Centre:

    a) Location of Centre.

    b) Carpet area of at least 800-2000 sq. ft., suitable modified for labs and classrooms.

    c) Atleast 5-10 computers of configuration as per university norms with facility for printers,

    Internet, Network, and Scanning.d) Library facilities with at least 50-100 titles of books.

    e) Appropriate dust proofing and air-conditioning,f) Demonstrators/Faculties/Counselours/Addmission Information Officers:

    For Under Graduate/ Graduate Programs At least Post Graduate from a

    recognized University and others subject specialists.

    For Post Graduate Programs - PhD or Min. Post Graduate with 1 yr experience

    as academic faculty and others subject specialists.

    g) Recommended two presentation/training rooms with seating capacity of 30 each.

    h) Supporting Staff including lab assistants.i) Generators, Audio-Video facility, hardware and software.

    j) Public conveniences.k) Each Admission and Information Centre should have a reliable E-mail ID for day to day

    communication with Technominds and University officials.

    The above requirements will be for student strength of 50 to 100. Additional infrastructure will berequired as per the student strength fitting into the rules and norms stipulated by BU. The

    application for becoming Admission and Information Centre may kindly be forwarded through aregistered society, trust or limited company.

    and Information Centre:

    1. Memorandum / Details of Society, Trust or Limited Company. Also include the resolution forbecoming the BU Admission and Information Centre.
