ADMISSION NOTICE 2012

Applications on prescribed forms are invited for admissions in the following Degree Programmes:

Muzaffarabad Campus For M.Phil, Master Degree (16 year) in the relevant subject, B.Sc. (Hons.), BS 4 Year or equivalent at least with second division in the field of study. For Ph.D., M.Phil. or equivalent in the relevant field of study. If an employee of the Government/other agencies is selected for the admission to M.Phil. & Ph.D. programmee, he/ she shall have to take study leave to pursue Studies as a regular student. The MS/ M.Phil. Candidate shall provide GAT (General) test result conducted by NTS with application form. Ph.D. candidate shall provide GAT (subject) test result conducted by NTS as required by HEC for admissions. In subjects/Disciplines where GAT subject test is not available in Pakistan, the applicants will have to fulfill the entry/admission test requirements as per HEC criteria. The requirement for LLM, B.A LLB (Hons.)/ LLB 17 year education or equivalent at least with 2nd division. Remaining all the conditions for LLM will be same as for MS/ M.Phil.

(iv) Evening MBA 3 ½ Year Self Support

division from an HEC recognized institution.

Kotli Campus

(i) MBA (3 ½ Year Programme)

division from an HEC recognized institution.

(ii) MBA (1½ Year Programme) BBA (Hons.) MBA/M.Com/ MPA or equivalent 16 year education at least with 2nd division.

(iii) Master Degree Programmes M.Sc. HRM, M.Sc. Banking and Finance, M.Sc. Enterprise Management & Development, MPA & M.Com

BA/B.Sc./B.Com/BBA/ BS (IT) 2 Year or equivalent at least

with 2nd division from an HEC recognized institution.

(iv) M.Sc. Economics Normal Graduation or equivalent at least with 2nd division. The list of

approved combinations for admission in each discipline may be had from the concerned department.

Note :(i) The candidates applying for MBA 3½ year, MBA 1½year, M.Com, M.Sc. (HRM), M.Sc. Banking and Finance, M.Sc. Enterprise Management & Development will have to pass entry test as per HEC requirement. The Candidates who have already appeared in BBA & B.Com examinations can also apply provided they submit a hope certificate from the concerned institution. (ii) Where the number of Candidates is less than requirement, the decision of the commencement of the class will finally rest with the Authority.

(v) Disabled through University Medical Board. (vi) Refugees (Settled in Pakistan & AJK) 25% (vii) Pakistan National (one for each province) through Concerned Nomination Board. (viii) Foreign students shall be selected through the Ministry of Education. (ix) Sports seat through University Sports Committee. (x) University Teachers & Employees’ Son/ Daughter nominated by the University (xi) 25% Quota (self-Supports) for AJK National & Others. (3) Maximum age limit for M.A/M.Sc. is 27 year. Application form against nominated seats must reach the Directorate of Students’ Affairs on or before the last date notified in this advertisement for the submission of applications.

How and where to Apply?

The applications must be sent on prescribed forms. The prospectus and application forms can be obtained from the Directorate of Students’ Affairs, AJK University

Muzaffarabad or Deputy Director Students’ Affairs Kotli campuses against payment of Rs. 1000/- through a Habib Bank Challan available at Authorized branches in

AJ&K. Alternatively, by sending a Bank draft of Rs. 1100/- drawn in the name of Director Finance & Planning University of AJ&K. A candidate applying for more

than one department/category should deposit Rs. 300/- for each additional form. Completed applications must reach the Directorate of Students’ Affairs at their

concerned campuses not later than 20-01-2013. The application form is also available on University website www.ajku.edu.pk. The HBL Bank Challan for Rs. 1000/-

or Bank Draft amounting Rs. 1100/- must be attached with Application Form, otherwise, the form will not be entertained.

Required Documents

(1) Attested copies of all educational certificates and Degrees. (2) Character Certificate issued by the college last attended. (3) Migration certificate in case of Masters/

Graduation from institutions other than AJ&K University. (4) A copy of Domicile & State subject certificate. (5) A copy of National Identity Card

(6) Four recent passport size photographs.

Admission Schedule

The last date for receipt of application form completed in all respects 20-01-2013 up to 3:00 PM. Application received after the due date will not be

entertained. Entry Test will be held on 28-01-2013 for PhD./M.Phil./MCS/MBA at Muzaffarabad, for Ph.D./M.Phil./MS/MBA/MPA/M.Com/ M.Sc. (Economics)/ (HRM)/ M.Sc. Enterprise Management & Development/ M.Sc. Banking & Finance at Kotli.

First and Second Merit list will be displayed on 05-02-2013 and 08-02-2013, respectively. Admission fee and other dues will be deposited on

05-02-2013 to12-02-2013, interviews will be held on the same date. Candidates are required to bring original documents/degrees for verification at the time

of interview.
