The university campus, inaugurated on October 11th, 1999, hosts 8 faculties in the capital of Romania and has amphitheatres, seminar rooms, computer science laboratories, forensic science laboratories, political sciences room, multimedia room, trial room for experimental processes, 500-seat auditorium, conference halls, library, reading rooms, bookstores, private radio and TV station, student club, leisure facilities, sports complex, student bar and consulting room.“Dimitrie Cantemir” Christian University (Ro. UCDC) has concluded partnerships and cooperation agreements with national and international universities and research institutes, cultural and academic centers, as well as with institutions from the socio-economic field. Students from all faculties of “Dimitrie Cantemir” Christian University can benefit from mobility within the Erasmus + program of the European Union.

Admission information 2018Admission to BA programs is based on the average grade of the baccalaureate exam. For the admitted candidates with the same lowest average grade on the admission list, the grading criterion will be the grade obtained in the Mother Tongue written examination, in the baccalaureate exam. Admission to MA programs is based on the average grade obtained in the Bachelor’s degree examination. Admission to Master’s degree programs is based on the average grade obtained in the bachelor’s degree examination (except for the International Business Master Program from the International Relations Faculty).There are two stages of admission:

In order to be enrolled as students the candidates have to pay full tuition fee (with a 50 € discount) or partially (minimum 25%) until August 16th, 2018 for those enrolled in the 1st stage and until October 7th, 2018 for those enrolled in the 2nd stage.

BENEFITS15% discount of the tuition fee is provided for the candidates, members of the same family, for graduates from a faculty within the DCCU or other universities, as well as for students who simultaneously attend the courses of two faculties within the University. The first three full-time students, ranked according to their studies results, benefit from a 15% discount of the tuition fee during the next year of studies. The candidates who are admitted to Bachelor’s Degree Studies and pay their tuition fee until October 7, 2018 benefit from a 50 € discount.

Preparatory Year of Romanian Studies for Foreign Students aims at training and developing language and communication skills in Romanian for non-native speakers, and at increasing foreigners’ interest in Romanian culture and civilization. Having attended this program of study for two semesters of intensive study of Romanian language, students will achieve oral and written communication skills of B1 - B2 level according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).According to its curriculum, the program of study includes intensive practical training seminars of Romanian language and civilization and Romanian for specific purposes. At the end of two semesters of intensive study, the students will receive a Certificate of Linguistic Competence and will be able to attend any faculty of “Dimitrie Cantemir” Christian University or any other faculty in Romania.

Useful informationAdmission to the Bachelor’s Degree Program The Pedagogy of Primary and Pre-school Education takes place in two stages as follows:

1st Stage - The Vocational Skills Test (“Admitted / Rejected”) evaluates the candidate’s musical skills, communication skills, and diction; the interviewing commission will assess the candidate’s motivation for a teaching career, the candidate’s clear, accurate and coherent way of speaking, the responsiveness in a dialogue, the argumentation skills and the musical sense.

Note: The Vocational Skills Test is eliminatory. Only those candidates who are Admitted will be considered for the second stage.The graduates of the pedagogical high school / pedagogical profile, the post-secondary school and the college of primary-school teachers /with a teacher / educator / primary-school teacher diploma are exempted from the Vocational Skills Test.

2nd Stage - Candidates who pass the Vocational Skills Test will be ranked according to the average obtained in the baccalaureate exam.

The Professional Conversion Program Primary and Pre-School EducationThe professional conversion program – Primary and Pre-School Education – aims at creating opportunities for professional development for teachers who are to take part in quality postgraduate training programs.Selection criteria for admissionSkills test - eliminatory (oral) - artistic and communication skills: musical hearing, rhythm, dialogue, text reading (admitted / rejected). Criteria for grading: The average of years of Bachelor studies.

The Post-Graduate Program Integration and Inclusion in the Educational SystemIn order to be enrolled in the Integration and Inclusion post-graduate program of the educational system, the Romanian and foreign candidates must have the same documents as for the Master’s degree programs. Useful informationThe Teacher Training Department (Ro. D.P.P.D.) is an institutional structure that provides training, counseling and expertise in the field of initial and steady training for students and graduates of higher education in case they choose a teaching career.The TTD has the mission to conceive, design and conduct activities for the students’ selection and guidance towards a teaching career, offering high-quality psycho-pedagogical study programs during both university and post-graduate studies for both levels of certification for the teaching profession (Cf. M.O. no. 4316 / June 3, 2008).These are the following the TTD areas of expertise: curriculum, learning, training methodology, evaluation, modern communication techniques, intercultural education, educational policies, specialized didactics.

In order to be enrolled in the Psycho-pedagogical Module, Level I, the Romanian and foreign candidates must have the same documents as for the Master’s degree programs (see pag.5). The foreign candidates must also have the Graduation Certificate of the Romanian preparatory year or the Foreign Language Certificate (C1).
