Job Location : Velosi Head office Doha Qatar Project Description:

Talisman Malaysia Ltd has contracted Velosi to prepare Inspection Isometric Drawings for

14 platforms. There are a total of 3426 lines (Construction isometric Drawings = 5196)

Responsibilities included as follows:

To review P&ID and identify non-registered piping Identification and Mark-up of Operational and Static Dead legs on P&IDs To draft inspection isometric drawing with mark-up test points including welds

(including socket fittings) and dead leg-hydrocarbon system. Preparation of CAD Inspection Isometric Drawings is carried out by using

Construction Isometrics to produce a inspection isometric using the AutoCAD. Preparing detail isometric drawings, using by AutoCAD software.

(iv) QP (Qatar Petroleum) Qatar

Position : Mechanical Draftsman & Site Supervisor Job Location : Velosi Head office DOHA & QP DUKHAN PLANT

Responsibilities included as follows:

Supervising and controlling the field works of practically applying the piping circuits in the plant, recommending splitting/grouping circuits if necessary, and also for the identification of suitable NDE locations, specifying which type of damage mechanism is anticipated, and justification for the method of NDE.

Collection of design, operating and inspection history data. Preparation of Plant Piping Hand Made Inspection Isometrics as per the Field by

using P&ID’s. Identified sufficient NDE locations i.e. UT thickness scans, RT profiles, UT

shear wave, MPI, DPI techniques on each piping circuit / sub – circuit to form a comprehensive damage survey.

Preparation of CAD Drawings is carried out by using hand-drawn plant sketches from plant draftsman to produce a master set of inspection isometric and equipment drawings using the AutoCAD software.

Identification of Scaffolding Volume at each elevation on the developed Isometric drawings.

Stenciling of NDE Locations in the Field as per the developed Isometric drawings. Installation of off-the-shelf hot insulation access ports (Inspection Plugs-Silicon

rubbers) on the hot insulated lines in the field as per the marked NDE locations on the isometric drawings.

(v) Qatar Steel

Responsibilities included as follows: Collection of design and inspection history data. Collection and Review of Civil & Steel structure engineering drawings, Schedule of

Monthly Shutdown, photographs of defective structures and other data. Initial Site visit followed by Detailed Visual survey. Identification of Defects/Damage Mechanisms. Corrosion, shearing, wearing, loosening and fracture of bolts. Pitting, buckling (to bend), deflection, Deterioration, misalignment, distortion of
