Adopt a School creates a sense of cooperation between individuals, private sector companies/ organizations and the school. The main purpose of the initiative is to utilise the vast amount of human resource, experience and talents of individuals and business community to strengthen, enhance and enrich the quality of education in the public school system in Botswana. This is to be facilitated through long term participation in the delivery of quality education and training. Through the Adopt a School Initiative individuals, organizations, companies and other private sector entities work with a school or group of schools to provide any form of assistance to enhance instruction or systems in the selected area/s. Aim To facilitate public and private sector participation in the delivery of quality education in public schools. Individuals, companies, or organizations approach a school (s) 2. The two identify area (s) of need or needs of school 3. School informs Regional Operations Offices 4. The school and Adopter draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with assistance of the Regional Operations Office. 5. Regional Operations informs Botswana Education Hub. 6. Signing of the MOU by MoESD Permanent Secretary 7. Project kicks offs.
