Our intense focus on safety is demonstrated by some examples of how we ensure the safe handling and use of the sodium chlorite chemical precursor and ClO2 on site, including:

• All of our ADOX™ generators are designed under HAZOP principles. Our technicians provide commissioning, start-up and training on new ClO2 generation equipment.

• All applications that we support have undergone a comprehensive product stewardship review to ensure that there are minimal risks to humans and the environment. We include additional precautionary language in all instructions to ensure that the application is done safely.

• All customers undergo a First Order Procedure (FOP). This FOP involves simple questions around the application, storage, handling, regulatory approvals and language requirements. Specific training on the ClO2 precursor chemicals, including a review of the SDS and all labeling, is also conducted prior to receipt of product. Comprehensive training materials are provided to enable customers to train additional employees.

• Prior to bulk tank delivery, an on-site bulk tank assessment is required to ensure the product can be received, stored and handled correctly.

60 years of proven experience

For more than 60 years, the operation has been setting standards in the delivery of ClO2 chemistry and technology. We hold a substantial number of patents and continually have new products, technologies and applications under development.

On-site generation of ClO2 using either two or three chemical precursors is essentially a self-contained ClO2 production plant on-site. When choosing ClO2 generation equipment, it is important to not only ensure that the company selling the equipment has the technical capabilities needed to support the technology, but to also consider the safety and reliability of the equipment.

For the past 40 years, we have been engineering, fabricating, installing and maintaining ClO2 generators. All systems are engineered for simplicity and reliability, and they are designed to meet the highest safety standards. We have the experience of over 1000 installations.

Greater reliability of sodium chlorite supply

Critical to any application of ClO2 is a reliable supply of sodium chlorite, a chemical that produces less by-products than other alternative precursors. ADOX Water Technologies offers three different sources of sodium chlorite supply located around the world. These production facilities have earned the necessary regulatory approvals (e.g., U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, FDA, etc.) that are specific to the region and compliant with established standards and specifications.

Sodium chlorite solutions are sold under the ADOX™ brand name. All of the producers meet our quality standards, and several of the facilities are third-party audited or ISO-certified. For safety reasons, we only offer liquid sodium chlorite solutions.

Logistical expertise and training

ADOX™ sodium chlorite solutions are corrosive in nature and typically packaged in pails, drums, IBCs or bulk tank trailers. Sodium chlorite solutions can also be shipped in specially lined dedicated rail cars and ISO containers that are available under specific agreement conditions.

We have supply terminals in all target regions. Handling sodium chlorite presents some unique safety considerations. ADOX Water Technologies provides every customer with training to ensure that they understand the proper storage and handling procedures required to safely handle sodium chlorite prior to any shipment being received on-site.

Expertise in regulatory compliance

In many instances, ClO2 is used to meet regulatory compliance requirements. A key element in any successful application of ClO2 is an understanding of the local regulatory requirements for each specific application. The regulatory knowledge requirement applies to both the chemical precursor, sodium chlorite, as well as the on-site generated ClO2 solution.

Our regulatory experts are available to assist with questions you may have pertaining to local approvals.
