• Understand the 3 types of employees in the ADP system –
monthly, bi-weekly and punch clock (students, temporary, etc)
employees – and when and how approvals are completed for
each
• Understand “missed punch” and how to correct it
• Understand how and why to set up a proxy
Important Information
• Logging In
– portal.adp.com
• User id
• Password
– Forgot: Shared Services – 1-855-214-2644
1. Time & Attendance –Your timecard & the timecards of your employees
2. Pay & Taxes – Pay statements & W2 information
3. Personal Information – keep this updated – feeds over to other systems
4. Benefits – select benefits as new employee or choose benefits yearly
Default “Home” Screen
1. My Timecard – locate, populate, save & approve YOUR time
2. My Reports – find YOUR leave balances (sick and vacation time) as of a specific date.
1. Time is deposited in you account on the 28th (or so) each month
3. My Actions
1. Electronic leave request system that can be utilized –automatically populates your timecard
4. Quickfind – find your employees and timecards
5. Inbox – set up manager delegation if you will be out of the office
Your Timecard• Monthly (exempt)
– Only report time out of the office – sick or vacation
– Generally done going back to the previous month
– Due by the 10th of the following month
• Bi-weekly (non-exempt)
– Reports all time – hours worked, sick and vacation
– Generally done in the current pay period
– Due every other Friday by/before 3 pm – unless otherwise notified
• Students
– PUNCH in/out
– Due every other Friday by/before 3 pm – unless otherwise notified
Your Leave Time
• Sick
– accrue 8 hours of sick time each month
• Vacation
– 0 – 5 years – accrue 10 hours each month
– 5-10 years – accrue 12 hours each month
– 10+ years – accrue 14 hours each month
– No more than 360 hours at the end of
the calendar year
