Getting StartedNote: Because we are continually improving our solutions, the screens in this document may differ from those that yousee in the product.

Quickly Log OnEvery practitioner can securely access ADP WorkforceNow (https://www.workforcenow.adp.com) without adigital certificate from any computer (private or shared)on any supported browser.Practitioners log on using the Admin Login link.Managers and employees log on using the User Loginfields.After answering a few security questions the first timeyou access ADP Workforce Now, you enter only youruser ID and password each time you log on.

Easily Find TasksThe interface provides a simple and intuitive userexperience.The What’s New window provides details about newfeatures and enhancements.Click Learning Resources for a gateway to moredetailed training that will get you up and running in notime.

Customize Your Home PageYou can select from five unique ADP Workforce NowHome page layouts and define content so that differentgroups of users can see different information. You caneasily upload logos, change color schemes, and postdocuments, such as a company handbook foremployees.

SupportThe Support window displays customized contentbased on your modules. Click Support from anywherewithin ADP Workforce Now for instant, 24-hour accessto resources that you can use to resolve most of yourquestions. For example, you can view emergencyalerts, watch how-to videos, and even track your payrolldeliveries.

Affordable Care Act SupportADP Workforce Now supports the Affordable Care Act(ACA). You can track ACA information and create ACAreports. To learn more, access the ACA Learning Bytesfrom the home page of the Support Center by selectingHealth Care Reform > Learning.

ADP’s The BridgeThe Bridge is an online community for payroll and HRprofessionals where you can ask questions, shareknowledge, make connections, and learn from industryexperts and peers about a broad range of humancapital management topics. You can also view the statistical summarydetails for earnings, taxes, and deductions.You can compare payroll details for the current cyclewith the payroll details from previous payroll cycles.Switch Compare Historical Data to On to view thecomparison.

Create QuickCalc or Manual CheckRequests on One PageOn the QuickCalc and Manual Checks pages, you canfind an easy-to-use form to quickly enter manual checkdata.You can select several employees at one time,automatically populate all of the requests with somecommon information, enter the request for the firstemployee, and automatically advance to anotheremployee to enter the next request.

Review and Instantly Update the PayrollScheduleYou can review your company’s payroll schedule for aparticular month or the entire year, including paydates, holidays, and the days included in a payrollweek. You can change payroll dates, request adelivery delay, add additional unscheduled payrolls,and delete payroll weeks as needed, all withoutcontacting ADP.

View an Employee’s Pay-RelatedInformation at a GlanceYou can view all of an employee’s pay-relatedinformation— such as pay statement summaries, payrates, deductions and liens, direct deposits, and taxwithholdings—at a glance on a single page.

Quickly Find Local Tax CodesThe Local Tax Codes Lookup option enables you toselect the correct local tax codes for the employee’sworked-in and lived-in addresses. These codes areappropriate for tax filing purposes and improve payrollaccuracy.

Quickly Hire and Re-Hire EmployeesThe redesigned New Hire wizard validates informationas you go, so you can fix errors while you progressthrough each step instead of back-tracking at the end.If you don’t have the information (or the time) to fix theerror right now, you can choose to Continue with Errorsand fix it before you review and submit information forthe new hire.

Use a Wizard to Terminate EmployeesThe Termination wizard provides a single, unified wayto terminate employees. You can also track terminationtasks with customizable checklists.Additionally, you can select no final payment required,or you can issue the final payment using normalpaydata entry, a manual check, or a QuickCalc manualcheck.

Use a Wizard to Place Employees onLeave of AbsenceUse the Place on Leave wizard to enter all leaveinformation in one place. ADP-supplied templatesmake data-entry quick and easy.

Create Customized Activities forEmployees to CompleteCustomizing employee activities allows you to defineinformation that employees need to complete in ADPWorkforce Now. You create the employee activity usingthe Custom Activity Builder and then distribute it toemployees through the Message Center.You can use this feature for gathering information on arecurring basis, such as verification of personalinformation.You can require approval before the information isadded to the employee’s record or set up the activity asnotification of an event.

Use a Wizard to Add a PositionYou can add both paid and unpaid positions using theAdd Another Position wizard.This is a useful tool when an employee holds multiplepositions and reports to two or more managers or whenmultiple Forms W-2 are required because paymentsare issued under separate federal tax identificationnumbers.

Store Multiple PositionsTwo fields called Associate ID and Position ID can helpyou to identify employees.Each employee has one associate ID, which is specificto the employee and cannot be re-used or assigned toanother employee. Employees can have a differentposition ID for each position they hold.The Multiple Positions feature enables you to track anemployee in two or more active positions, paid orunpaid, at the same time.

Access Statutory Compliance Informationon One PageYou can access several statutory compliance activities(I-9/Citizenship, EEO, Protected Veteran, FMLA,Disability, and OSHA) on the Statutory Compliancepage of the employee’s record.

Create Custom Reports Quickly and Easilywith Simplified ReportingYou no longer need to be an expert report builder toquickly create the reports that you need. You cancreate basic columnar reports without using the seven-step Report wizard. With the new report-buildingcanvas, it is very easy for you to build your reports.

Easily Access Frequently Used FieldsWith Custom Reports, you can easily access the fieldsthat you frequently use in your reports. The CommonlyUsed Fields section includes fields from multiple files ormodules.

Create My Reports to Save CommonReporting CriteriaYou can customize standard reports and save them asMy Reports. If you regularly use a particular standardreport, you can modify it for your reporting needs andsave it as a My Report for easy access. On the RunReport page, click Save As and name your copy of thestandard report accordingly.

Easily Access Affordable Care Act DataYou can easily access your applicable Affordable CareAct information, such as benefit status, employeecategory, and enrollment premium, using theAffordable Care Act reports that are provided inSample Reports.
