1. Report of the Officer-in-charge:- It is first time that I am working in a Zoo. It took some time for me to understand the management of Zoo. Later it was found managing animals is much easier than managing the visitors. It requires lot of patience to handle few stubborn visitors. It was a pleasure to interact with the visitors particularly children who are keen in knowing behaviour of each animal. People of Chitradurga emotionally attached to Adumalleshwara Mini Zoo, every guest is brought to show animals in the Zoo. It is popular among the people of Chitradurga because of its location. They need to travel at least 1.5 Kmsinside the Sanctuary to reach the Mini Zoo, in between they are likely to encounter group of Peacocks, large variety of Birds. It serves both the purpose for the youngsters visiting the Zoo as well as capturing some images. The staff in the Zoo are very committed in the management of zoo. They are sincere in up keeping the enclosures and Zoo premises. October to December zoo receives large numberOf student groups from Northern and central Karnataka. The mini Zoo is serving as nature education centre as well as centre for knowledge on wild animals. Since the Zoo was started in 1987 there is less scope to remodel the existing enclosures.
