  5. 5. Weekly Blog Posts: 10 pts. Sign into Schoology Get in the habit of checking every Monday View materials and investigate chosen topic Compile a well-thought out, in-depth response and post it to the blog. Then respond to classmates postings in a respectful manner!

Video 101 Modules Video 101 on-line film curriculum Six on-line modules with accompanying quizzes Designed to take your skills to the next level while reviewing TV1 basics at the same time Week One: Editing 101 (longest of all six) View the entire module (link on Schoology) then take the quiz on-line within Schoology
  7. 7. Journal Entries: 25 pts. Using prompts from Screenwriting for Teens Minimum of two per week (done in-class) Preparation to write script for film festival and the 10-day film competition in March. Designed to give you an entire journal filled with short film ideas from which to choose
  8. 8. Rules Overview: Rules and expectations: pages 3-4 Further emphasis: Sign out cameras EVERY time you use one Everyone gets their own computer; individual assignments comprise each marking period
  9. 9. Additional classroom items: The goal of Advanced TV is to provide you with the opportunity to build your DVD portfolio, with a diverse group of projects NOT just funny stuff! You will not pass independent study television production if you do not complete all the projects each marking period This is your chance to be creative, think outside the box, and work hard!
  10. 10. Group Project: Silent Film What is a focus statement? Every story must have a concise and specific focus statement. If you cant explain your story in one sentence, then its probably too broad and general. A good focus statement will help guide everything you shoot.
  11. 11. Group Project: Silent Film Everyone pick a number out of the jar. You are in a group based on your number. Sit together as a group. One representative from each group pick focus statement out of a hat. You have the remaining part of the block to brainstorm ideas and create shot list.
