Reversible lanes

� 3 lanes available eastbound never used by City of Chicago

� 3 additional lanes operated manually

� Only operated westbound

ETC introduction

� I-Pass introduction on June 16th (2 months

implementation)

� 3 lanes per direction, operated with gates

� Contract with Illinois Tollway

� EZ-Pass accepted in September 26th

� Reduced waiting times to less than 10 minutes


Toll collection improvements made in 2006

� Reversible lanes completion

� Additional works to open 3 reversible lanes fully operational

� All lanes equipped both directions

� Only manual lanes for cars

� New manual toll collection system

� Better performance

� Reconfiguration of McDonald’s parking lot
