You will work for the remainder of the semester to create a collaborative team resource. Throughout the semester, you will evaluate your own, each of your teammates’, and your overall team’s processes and interactions. Throughout the semester, your team will establish: 1. Some form of communication that works for everyone in the group. You need to decide: How/where will you meet (in person? in a virtual world? on Skype? etc.) How will you communicate new information and changes/edits? What contact information will you share? When will you meet? How often will you meet? (You will have at least 30 minutes/week of in-class time to work together. However, this will not be sufficient time to complete the project, and you will have to schedule some out-of-class time to work together.) 2. How your team works together. Remember, this is a collaborative project. Do not simply assign different parts of the final project to different team members and assemble everything at the end. You need to regularly check in with each other and make a team decision about each major step in the process. You need to decide: If each member has a specific role in the team? How will you determine leadership? How can you utilize each team member’s talents, skills and abilities? How will you ensure that each team member is motivated to engage in the project? 3. A process to handle potential team conflict. You need to decide how to use the skills we are learning in this class to recognize, address, and resolve any conflicts that might arise. 4. An overview of the major steps in the process and what you need to accomplish. Break them down into manageable sections, and determine how and when you will complete each step. Create a timeline that clearly lists each deadline. Establish your team’s goals and create a plan to reach those goals. Collaborative Team Project & Presentation

You will work in groups of 4-5 to provide a useful resource for AES students who will study at Lewis & Clark in the future. You will work for the remainder of the semester to create a collaborative team resource. Throughout the semester, you will evaluate your own, each of your teammates’, and your overall team’s processes and interactions.

Throughout the semester, your team will establish:

1. Some form of communication that works for everyone in the group. You need to decide:

• How/where will you meet (in person? in a virtual world? on Skype? etc.) • How will you communicate new information and changes/edits? • What contact information will you share? • When will you meet? • How often will you meet? (You will have at least 30 minutes/week of in-class time to

work together. However, this will not be sufficient time to complete the project, and you will have to schedule some out-of-class time to work together.)

2. How your team works together. Remember, this is a collaborative project. Do not simply assign different parts of the final project to different team members and assemble everything at the end. You need to regularly check in with each other and make a team decision about each major step in the process. You need to decide:

• If each member has a specific role in the team? • How will you determine leadership? • How can you utilize each team member’s talents, skills and abilities? • How will you ensure that each team member is motivated to engage in the project?

At the end of the semester, your team will turn in: 1. Your team’s final resource for future AES students (due April 27th).

2. A team evaluation in which you analyze your team’s processes (due April 27th). 3. A team presentation (on May 4th) in which you share about your team’s project. In addition

to sharing about the resource you have created, you should also tell about your team’s interactions, including:

• Communication process

• Roles and leadership

• Time management

• Any conflict that arose and how you resolved it

At the end of the semester, each team member will turn in: 1. A personal reflective paper that analyzes and evaluates your teamwork experience and your

contributions to your team. In your paper, you must synthesize your experience with the readings from this course (with APA references). You will also complete a self-evaluation form as an addendum to your paper (due April 29th by 4:00 p.m.).

2. An evaluation form of each of your team members (due April 29th by 4:00 p.m.).
