TheDP620electricalcalibratorcanmeasureandsourcemA,mV,V,Ohms,frequencyandavarietyofRTDsandT/Cs.Itprovidesanisolated24Vlooppowersupplytoenergisedevicesand control loops and a stabilized dc voltage supply for ratio metrictransducers.AHARTdigitalcommunicatorisprovidedforset-upandcalibrationadjustmentofHARTdevices.

Thehighresolution,colourtouchscreenofthecalibratorshowsonlythosebuttonsnecessaryfortheimmediate,selectedtasks.Thebuttonshavebeensizedsothattheycanbeoperatedbyaglovedhand,withnoneedforastylus.Thedisplaycanbeconfiguredtoshowuptosixreadingwindowsandeachwindowcanshowanelectricalinput/output,pressure,temperature,aUSB-connecteddeviceorawireless-connecteddevice.Thereadingwindowsalsoactasactivekeysand,whenpressed,theyexpandtoshowmoredetailedinformationortoprovideadvance functions such as step and ramp outputs. Colour is used toemphasizeimportantinformation,forexample,redforcriticalor failed values and green for pass or within tolerance.

TheDPI620includescomprehensivedocumentingfeaturesforautomating instrument calibration when used in conjunction with IntecalCalibrationManagementsoftware.

Thecompactandlightweightcalibratorisdesignedforrugged

ThePM620isthelatestdevelopmentindigitaloutputsensortechnologyincorporatinganumberofkeyinnovationstoallowpressurere-rangingofcompatibleequipment.Asimplescrewfitmakesboththepressureandelectricalconnectionswithouttheneedfortools,sealingtape,cablesorplugsanddigitalcharacterisation allows intercahngeability without set-up orcalibration.Themodulescanbechangedinafewsecondstore-range an instrument at a fraction of the cost of a new one.ThepressuremodulescanbeusedinconjunctionwiththerelevantpneumaticorhydraulicpressurestationandtheDPI620multifunction calibrator to form an integrated pressure calibratorfor test and calibration of pressure instruments includingtransmitters,transducers,switches,gauges,indicatorsandrecorders.Alternatively,themodulescanbecombinedwiththepressurestationbyamodulecarrier,whichaddsadualchannelpressure measurement capability that can be re-ranged in seconds.

Pressurerangesareavailablefrom25mbarto1000bar(10inH2O to15000psi)withatotalmeasurementuncertainty,includingoperationover0to50o C(32to122°F)foroneyear.

Thepressureconnectiontothedeviceundertestisasimplefingertightsystemwithinterchangeableadaptors.Thistool-lessconnectionmethodisquicktouseandprovidesahighintegrityseal.Thesamesystemisusedontheinterconnectinghoseandadaptoraccessories,suchthattheonlyconnectionrequiring toolsandseals/sealingtapeisthefinalconnectiontothedeviceunder test.

Thecarrierisalsodesignedforpressuresafetyandwillautomaticallysealifamoduleisnotfittedoriftheuserattemptsto remove it.

OperationofthePV623issimple.Thescrewpressisrotatedanti-clockwisetodrawairoutofthetestdevice.Thesameactionfillsthescrewpresswithhydraulicfluidfromaninternalreservoir.Thescrewpressisthenrotatedclockwisetofillthetestdeviceandcompressthehydraulicfluid.Forlargervolumesystemstheprocesscanberepeated,anon-returnvalvepreventspressurelossontherefillcycle.Whenthetestpressurehasbeenreachedthe screw press converts to a precision volume adjuster for makingfineadjustments.
