Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) has emerged as an exciting and validated treatment option for men with localized prostate cancer. This is supported by the unique radiobiology of prostatic adenocarcinoma coupled with innovations in treatment delivery. Long-term data continues to emerge demonstrating favorable biochemical control with low normal tissue toxicity. This symposium is designed to provide physicians with an overview of the long-term data, as well as to explore the clinical questions that remain long-term data, as well as to explore the clinical questions that remain regarding optimizing the use of SBRT for cure while minimizing side effects. To promote understanding of the intricacies of SBRT, an internationally renowned group of clinician scientists has been assembled to lead this discussion.
