Parenting is Rewarding and Challenging!

Are you looking for tried and true advice from the experts who know and care?

Here is a favorite:

Love and Logic: Insiders Club– provides a biweekly email with a brief article

with practical tips. Excellent! Check it out at https://www.loveandlogic.com/

Note: A number of our teachers have read Love and Logic for the Classroom!

The 2nd and 3rd graders have been learning about mindset. They have learned about the

difference between growth mindset and fixed mindset. Students are learning that they can

train their brain to focus more on a positive growth mindset by changing the words that they

say. Encourage your child to practice this growth mindset at home!

Instead of saying: Try Saying:

I’m not good at this. What can I do differently?

I give up. I will try to do better.

It’s good enough. Is this really my best work?

I will never be as smart as my classmates. I am going to try my hardest.

I made a mistake. Mistakes help me to learn!

Our words have power!
