Christmas in Poland

Advent is a time lasting 24 days during which time countdown to Christmas. Parents buy their children advent calendars which are situated chocolates. children each day from the first to December twenty-fourth day eat a chocolate. just waiting for the greatest night in the Polish tradition of the year - Christmas Eve.

One tradition is leaving one free place at the table. This site is intended for the unexpected guest. also express our thanks to the memory of our loved ones who can not spend Christmas with us.

The most important moment of the meeting is breaking the wafer. Before eating Christmas Eve dinner, we all share the wafer and made a wish.

Polish Christmas traditions

After supper we watched for kids through the window first star when it appears we all run after the presents under the Christmas tree.

On the eve of Christmas almost every Polish family is placed at home or bought severed and decorates her Christmas tree baubles, chains and other ornaments. Gifts are always under the Christmas tree.

Inseparable part of Christmas is a Christmas carol. Every evening christmas all together singing songs called carols. There are many, and each tells the story of the birth of Christ but in a different way. public holidays without carols would not be so beautiful and would not have this wonderful mood.

Ingredients:• 1 carp and hake (about 1, 2kg)• lemon juice• 3 tablespoons flour• 40ml of oil or 3 tablespoons of butter• salt• pepper
