• Someone went/came to a place at a certain time.

Particles

• へ and に are both particles for traveling to indicate destination.

• The main difference is に is used where the destination is a place where an activity is involved like a party or restaurant.

• へ is used strictly to indicate a destination for an action(travel verb)

• かえります to return (to a place ~ like home)
