Quilt Top Assembly(Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)6. Sew (1) Block Twenty-Seven square, (1) Block Two square, (1) Block Twenty-Seven square, (1) Block Three square, (1) Block Twenty-Seven square, (1) Block Four square and (1) Block Twenty-Seven square together in that order to make Row One.

7. Repeat Step 6 and refer to the Quilt Layout for block identification, placement and orientation to make Rows Two through Seven.

8. Sew the (7) Rows together in numerical order to make the Center Block.

9. Sew (1) 1” x 56 ½” Fabric U strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1” x 57 ½” Fabric U strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

10. Sew (1) 4” x 57 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 4” x 64 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

11. Layer and quilt as desired.

12. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric R strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

13. Bind as desired.

2. Place (1) 4 ⅞” Fabric C square on top of (1) 4 ⅞” Fabric D square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 2). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2). Cut the (2) squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 3) to make (2) half-square triangles. Trim the blocks to measure 4 ½” square to make (2) DC squares (Fig. 4). Note: Only 1 square will be used.

Block Assembly1. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 7 ¾” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 7 ¾” Fabric A small panel. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 9 ¾” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A small panel. Trim the block to measure 8 ½” square to make (1) Block One square (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (8) Block One squares total.

3. Repeat Step 2 and refer to Figure 5 on Page 3 for fabric identification and seam direction to make the number of units listed. There should be 212 units total. Also refer to Figure 5 for the number of units actually used. You will use 164 units.

4. Sew (1) DC unit, (1) EF unit, (1) HB unit and (1) IG unit together as shown in Figure 6 on to make (1) Block Two square.

5. Repeat Step 4 and refer to Figures 7-31 on Page 4 to make the designated number of squares for Block Three through Block Twenty-Seven.
