How do I apply for a permit?

• Complete an Adventurous Activity Permit application, these are available online at www.scouts-hants.org.uk/activities

• Then contact an authorised County Assessor in your chosen activity. You can find the contact details for a County Assessor from either your DC, ADC Activities or ACC Activities.

• Some of the County Activity Clubs, for example, Hampshire Scout Mountaineering Team & Hampshire Scout Canoe Club have County Assessors and run permit assessment weekends. Visit www.scouts-hants.org.uk/activities for links to their websites.

• If you are not attending a County Activity Club permit assessment weekend then contact another County Assessor who will arrange an assessment with you.

• The County Assessor will then complete an assessment sheet and make a recommendation to your DC. Then take the assessment sheet to your DC.

• Your DC will then discuss with you and complete the remaining sections of the assessment sheet and issue a permit.
