Estimados feligreses,

Hoy celebramos el Día de la Madre tanto en los Estados Unidos como en México, que se alinea el mismo

día aproximadamente cada cinco años. Nuestras mamás son un regalo de Dios para nosotros, pero

desafortunadamente no hemos pensado mucho ni hemos hecho hincapié en la maternidad y el importante

papel que tienen en hacer de una casa un hogar. Hemos valorado "conseguir un trabajo real", "ganar

nuestro propio dinero" y "ser nuestra propia persona" por encima de la vocación de la maternidad, y

hemos sufrido por ello.

Desde el principio en el libro de Génesis, Dios nos hizo hombres y mujeres y nos dijo que "fuéramos

fértiles y multipliquemos". Nuestras madres son co-creadoras con Dios y nos han dado la vida. Es

humildemente pensar que cada madre que celebramos hoy ha dado vida a un alma, una persona que vivirá

para siempre. No solo nuestras madres nos han dado vida, sino que también hacen de una casa un hogar. Proporcionan el

toque femenino que convierte una estructura en un hogar amoroso. La vocación de ser un ama de casa,

cuidar el hogar, es un hermoso llamado que ha sido denigrado durante el siglo pasado. Es una tarea difícil

quedarse en casa y cocinar, limpiar, criar hijos y lidiar con la ingratitud y los defectos de carácter del

cónyuge. No es fácil criar una familia y muchas veces somos desagradecidos con nuestras madres y no

nos damos cuenta de todo lo que hacen por nosotros. Así como un sacerdote hace más que misa los

domingos, nuestras madres también hacen más que "quedarse en casa todo el día".

Durante este mes de mayo, todas las madres pueden mirar el ejemplo de María, nuestra Santísima Madre.

Ella confiaba en Dios, incluso cuando no entendía su plan. Ella fue paciente con San José, a pesar de que

él trató de divorciarse de ella. Luchó mucho para tener que dar a luz en un establo, convertirse en

refugiada en Egipto y luego trasladar a su familia a Nazaret. Ella le enseñó a su hijo Jesús la fe, vio morir

a su esposo José, y luego observó cómo vio a su hijo salir de casa, comenzar su ministerio y luego ser

violentamente torturado y asesinado. Ella lo vio después de su resurrección y estuvo allí cuando la iglesia

se estableció después de Pentecostés. Habla de una mujer fuerte. Ella es modelo para todas las madres,

especialmente aquellas que se encuentran en situaciones difíciles. Hoy y todos los días recemos por nuestras madres. Que podamos estar agradecidos por el amor de

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MASSES

Requirements for attending Mass:

Park in parking lot and walk to field north

of the rectory.

Bring your lawn chairs.

You MUST wear a mask on your nose and

mouth at all times. Those without a mask

will NOT be allowed to attend mass.

We will have to make sure that social

distancing is practiced in the field. You will

be directed to a painted spot on the grass to

maintain social distance throughout the

mass. This spot is 12 feet from all other

places. Families will sit around the same

painted spot.

For Holy Communion, the ushers will help

us keep a proper distance when they are in

line and there will be markers painted on the

grass.

At St. Robert's field masses during this time

of pandemic, everyone is required to receive

the Blessed Sacrament in the hand between

your thumb and index finger so that the

Blessed Sacrament can be safely

consumed.

Don't leave Mass early. You will be

dismissed by rows so that we do not bunch

together. Go directly to your vehicle and

don't meet to talk after mass, as much as it is

a temptation. Once in the field you are in

church. We should not talk to others, only to

God.

Please don't use the bathroom when you

come to church. Go at home. The bathroom

is where you have the highest probability of

catching the virus. They will be cleaned and

disinfected, but to help us help you, please

use the restrooms only in an emergency.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA MISAS

Requisitos para asistir a misa:

Estaciónese en el estacionamiento y camine

hacia el campo norte de la rectoría.

Traigan sus sillas de jardín.

DEBE usar una máscara en la nariz y boca en

todo momento. Aquellos sin máscara NO

podrán asistir a misa.

Tendremos que asegurarnos de practicar

distanciamiento social en el campo. Se les

dirigirá a un lugar pintado en el césped para

mantener la distancia durante toda la misa. Este

lugar está a 12 pies de todos los demás lugares.

Las familias se sentarán juntas alrededor del

mismo lugar pintado.

Para la Sagrada Comunión, los ujieres nos

ayudarán a mantener una distancia adecuada

cuando estén en línea y habrá marcadores

pintados en el césped.

En las misas de campo de San Roberto durante

este tiempo de pandemia, todos deben recibir el

Santísimo Sacramento en la mano entre el dedo

pulgar y el dedo índice para que el Santísimo

Sacramento pueda ser consumido de manera

segura.

No se salgan de misa temprano. Serán

despedidos por filas para que no nos

agrupemos. Váyanse directamente a sus

vehículos y no se reúnan para hablar después de

la misa, por más que sea una tentación. Una vez

en el campo están en la iglesia. No debemos

hablar con los demás, solo con Dios.

Por favor, no use el baño cuando venga a la

iglesia. Ir en casa. El baño es donde tiene la

mayor probabilidad de contraer el virus. Se

limpiarán y desinfectarán, pero para ayudarnos

a ayudarlos, use los baños solo en caso de

emergencia.

Dear Parishioners, Today we celebrate Mother's Day in both the United States and Mexico, which happens to line up on the

same day about every five years. Our Moms are a gift from God to us, but unfortunately we have not

given much thought or emphasis to motherhood and the important role they have in making a house a

home. We have valued "getting a real job," "making our own money," and "being our own person" over

the vocation of motherhood, and we have suffered for it. From the very beginning in the book of Genesis God made us male and female and told us to "be fertile

and multiply." Our Mothers are co-creators with God and have given us life. It is humbling to think that

every mother we celebrate today has given life to a soul, a person who will live forever. Not only have our moms given us life, but they also make a house a home. They provide the feminine

touch that makes a structure into a loving home. The vocation to be a home maker, to take care of the

home, is a beautiful calling that has been denigrated over the past century. It is a difficult task to stay

home and cook, clean, raise children, and deal with ingratitude and a spouse's character defects. It is not

easy to raise a family and so many times we are ungrateful to our mothers and do not realize all that they

do for us. Just as a priest does more than mass on Sunday, so too our moms do more than just "stay at

home all day."

During this month of May all mothers can look to the example of Mary, our Blessed Mother. She trusted

in God, even when she did not understand His plan. She was patient with St. Joseph, even though he tried

to divorce her. She struggled greatly in having to give birth in a stable, become a refugee in Egypt, and

then relocate her family to Nazareth. She taught her son Jesus the faith, watched her husband Joseph die,

and then looked on as she saw her son leave home, begin his ministry, and then be violently tortured and

killed. She saw Him after His resurrection and was there as the church was established after Pentecost.

Talk about a strong woman. She is a model for all mothers, especially those who are in difficult

situations. Today and every day let us pray for our mothers. May we be thankful for the love of our mothers and for

all they have done for us in making a house a home. May all mothers have the love, courage, patience, and

perseverance of Mary who made a home for the King of Heaven.
