When it comes to finding fraud, this Texas cowboy might be the best in the world. A bold statement backed up by braggadocios results! Finding fraud is just a part of his DNA; he also solutions enterprise technology with the best of them. He is full of personality, quick to quote a bible verse and brings disciple-like loyalty while delivering jaw dropping results for his clients.

The first time you meet him, his command of the room will put you at ease. His experience allows his mind to race to the unknown unknowns. He quickly hones in on the problem and builds a solution from scratch, throwing out all preconceived notions. As a gifted orator and a southern gentlemen, he creates a partnership that is anchored in his passion to be a Disciple of Change.

Every cowboy has carried a gun, and so has he. While assigned to the Specialized Crime Division of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, he was prestigiously nominated to serve on the FBI’s Healthcare Fraud Task Force as a Special Criminal Investigator. Ricky’s methodical approach and dedication to excellence catapulted him into the role of CMS Program Integrity Manager for ZPIC Zone 4. He knew this was his chance so he went all in and the results are staggering — creating the largest Home Health Care fraud case in US history in 2011, a $375 million case, and over $1billion in DOJ indictments in less than 18 months of work.

Ricky has since dominated the corporate landscape (e.g. IBM & SAS) across enterprise technology sales with staggering ROI findings across various business silos. These results led him to attaining his post as VP of Healthcare Solutions for a Park Avenue-based, publicly traded company. This Disciple of Solutions belongs in the Consulting Hall of Fame. He is the Co-Founder and puts the “R” in TRM.

To us, it is simple: We believe that Consulting can be done better. Our purpose in founding TRM is to remove the Corporate speak, eliminate the cookie cutter approach, and stop telling the client simply what they want to hear. Every problem is unique and should be approached with a blank slate towards innovative problem solving. We do Discovery different than others—complex problems cannot be solved in a typical, hour long vendor/consultant meeting. Yet, that is how most vendors operate. They walk out of a 60 minute session stating, “We will get back to you with how we can help you solve your problem.” How do we know? We have done it. It is the beginning of failure. It is the start of a process that results in frustration, disappointment, and as a consultant, it is the action of losing your identity.

We have spent our lives trying to do it the right way—we have helped hundreds, if not thousands, become better at what they do. Those are not the ones we remember. The ones that haunt us are the few times we did it the wrong way. We did not serve our clients, or ourselves. Doing what the corporate machine wanted us to do resulted in failure.
