• A2V is a national call to action throughout month of
April leading up to World Immunization Week, April
24th – 30th
• Why? To build support for global immunization
funding in Congress and in your community!
• Why now? Spring is when policymakers are making
decisions about how to spend our tax dollars
Advocate2Vaccinate
• Complete advocacy actions (all of the tools
you need are on the Champion Community)
• Earn points and recognition
• Keep track of your impact (and see what
other Champions are doing) through
reporting on the Champion Community
20 Points: In-Person Meeting with member of
Congress or Staff Member
• Most effective way to advocate to your
Member and/or their staff
• Sample Scheduler Request in toolkit
• Make a goal to meet with all three of your
members during the month of April!
10 Points: Phone Calls to
Congressional Offices
• Calls to set up a meeting or thank
staff members should go to your
member of Congress’ in-district office
• Calls to register an opinion should go
to your member of Congress’ DC
office
• Talking points and/or scripts in toolkit
• National Call-In Day: April 28th
10 Points: LTE Submission
• Submit a Letter to the Editor or Op-Ed to
be published using our LTE tool
• LTE tool and directions will be sent out
over email in April
• Bonus: 10 points if your submission is
published!
• Published media placements may be
featured on Shot@Life website
10 Points: Host An Event
• Host an event in your community during
the month of April
• Phone bank (advocacy or fundraising)
• Community fundraising partnerships
(EX: 10% of sales at restaurant go to
Shot@Life)
• Group champion training at home or
coffee shop
10 Points: Recruit a New Champion
• Think of a friend, colleague, or neighbor who would be
interested in Shot@Life’s mission!
• Invite them to attend a webinar training
• The next live champion training webinar will be on
Tuesday, March 14th at 8:00 p.m. EST
• Training video is also available in Champion Community
– just share the link with them and ask them to make a
profile!
• Let us know that they were recruited by you!

• Emails/Letters to your Congressional offices
• Shot@Life has talking points and can give guidance on
letters/emails to all three of your Congressional offices
• If you receive a response from the office, please forward
it to the Shot@Life team
• Social media interactions with Members of Congress
• Tweeting at your members of Congress about
immunizations
• Thanking your member of Congress or staff for a meeting
or phone call
