Preface

I’m pleased to place the report on “Electrical and Electronics

Department” before you.

EEE Department is the core branch for students to choose. It’s a

very great subject considering today’s market. Without

electrical energy, nothing is possible.

The content matter has been supplemented with the

responsibilities of Head of the department (H.O.D), & faculty

members of the department, Coordinators of the respective

classes.

I think this study will give substantial contribution in

developing the effectiveness of the students.

Abstract

This report actually consist of details about Department, HOD

and Faculty, and Academic schedule, Infrastructure, Rules and

Regulations.

The responsibilities, quality, quantity, & qualifications of the

faculty. Availability of the lab equipment, and about Lab in

charges.

Introduction:

The EEE Department is dedicated to delivering competent

electrical engineers to the arena of the real world. They are

outfitted with core technical knowledge as well as professional

skills necessary to face the challenges of the future. The

committed faculty and staff are fully geared up towards this

end.

Occasionally, the department arranges industrial visits, events

to improve the potential in the students.

Excellent laboratories have been laid out for the practical

instruction of students. These add value to the theoretical

instruction gleaned in the lecture halls. The Machines lab,

Measurement Lab, Digital and Electronics Lab, Control and

Power Electronics Lab (UG & PG), Power Systems Simulation

Lab, Electrical Workshop, Electrical Model Lab are manned by

competent staff.

Description

Functions of EEE Department:

Vision:

To produce globally competitive engineering graduates and

become centre of excellence through research in the areas of

Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Mission:

To impart quality and contemporary education in the

realm of Electrical & electronics engineering.

To pursue research and new technologies in Electrical &

Electronics Engineering and related disciplines in order to

serve the needs of the society.

Faculty:

EEE faculty in CMRCET is a good faculty with better

conceptual and practical grasp. There are several faculty who

pursue their Phd.

Prof. G. Devadas sir is currently working as Professor, Electrical

& Electronics Engineering in the Department of EEE, who is a

great person to have as HOD. His teachings are good and he

helped several UG and PG students in their projects.

Prof. Sudhakar reddy sir and Prof. Sowjanya ma’am are

currently working as Professor and Assistant HOD for

Electrical and Electronics department. Sudhakar sir teaches for

2nd years and Sowjanya ma’am teaches for 3rd and M.tech

students

Rules & Regulations:

The Conduct of the students should be exemplary, not only

within the premises of the institute but also outside. This will

help in maintain the prestige and status of institute. Students

should have no objection if their parents / guardians are contacted

by the principal regarding their indiscipline, irregularity in

attending classes, default in payment of fees and poor

performance or failure in examinations, or other matter of

concern.

Conclusion:

In this report, the responsibilities of the faculty is given and

their roles are discussed. The functions of EEE Department

have discussed.

EEE Department tries to improve the students in the field of

Electrical and electronics. The same has been discussed

throughout the report.

Methodology:

I have performed a case study on the “EEE department” in our

college. The survey for this report is started on August 19, 2015

and lasted up to September 22, 2015.

I’ve written this report on my view based on the case study.
