Purpose
Service evaluation of the effectiveness of hydrotherapy
based fitness programme for obese people with co-morbidities
Method
• 25 adults (Mean age of 56, 56% female) with BMI ≥ 35 kg/m2 with
co-morbidities
• Exercises programme – warm up, main weight reduction exercises
{aerobics, high calories burning exercises, HIIT} and cool down
• Progressed low to high intensity
• Attended our specialist dietitians programme

• Aerobic ability ► 2 Minutes March Test (2MMT)
► 10 point Borg Rate of Perceived Exertion Scale (RPE)
• Quality of life ► SF8 questionnaire

Conclusion
A structured hydrotherapy programme resulted in
significant improvement in their AA, PA and quality of life.
