INTRODUCTION
i
This report outlines the results of an INPUT survey flown
in Macdiarmid Township, Ontario during the period May 11
to 15, 1979.
A brief description of the survey procedure together with
recommendations for ground follow-up is included.
A total of 47 linemiles of surveying was carried out over
the 94 claims in Macdiarmid Township listed in the Technical
Data Statement (Appendix 2). The survey was performed by
Questor Surveys Limited employing a Britten Norman Tris-
lander, registration C-GNKW, out of Timmins, Ontario.
The survey results are presented in the map pocket at the
rear.
-
MAP COMPILATION
The base maps are uncontrolled mosaics constructed from
l" - 4,300 feet (approximate) National Air Photo Library'
photographs. The mosaics were reproduced at a scale of
I" = 1 320 feet on stable transparent film from which
white prints can be made.
Flight path recovery was accomplished by comparison of
the 35mm film with the mosaic to locate fiducial points.
These points are approximately 4500 feet apart.
-
SURVEY AREA
The survey area is located in northeast Macdiarmid township,
approximately 15 miles northeast of Timmins/ Ontario. It is
within a larger area which has seen a considerable amount of
exploration work carried out in the form of prospecting,
ground geophysical surveys, airborne geophysical surveys and
diamond drilling.
The past producing Kam Kotia and Jameland Mines Limited cop
per-zinc deposits are located approximately 10 miles south-
west of the survey area. Numerous other sulphide occuren-
ces have been located by drilling within the area northwest
of Timmins. These have proven uneconomic to date.
-
SURVEY PROCEDURE
Terrain clearance was maintained as close to 400 feet as
possible with the E.M. bird at approximately 150 feet above
the ground. A normal S-pattern flight path using approxima
tely one mile turns was used. The equipment operator log
ged the flight details and monitored the instruments.
A line spacing of 660 feet was used.

DATA PRESENTATION
HII II li i i l l l l l l l
The symbols used to designate the anomalies are shown in
the legend on each map sheet, and the anomalies on each
line are lettered in alphabetical order in the direction
of flight. Their locations are plotted with reference to
the fiducial numbers on the analog record.
A sample record is included to indicate the method used
for correcting the position of the E.M. bird and to iden
tify the parameters that are recorded.
-
RESULTS
There is one 3-channel INPUT anomaly in the east portion of
the survey area representing, apparently, a north-northwest
striking conductive zone. There is no direct magnetic cor
relation.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
i The anomaly should be investigated further as it does not
appear to have been drill tested in the past.t
MaxMin II and magnetic surveys should be carried out on
100m lines off a northwest-southeast baseline as a prelude
to possible diamond drilling.
Respectfully submitted/
