Aeneas’ Escape from Troy and Journey… up through the Founding of Lavinium

and his death!!!!

This is Aeneas escaping from Troy. At that time, the Greeks were taking over Troy. Aeneas was actually called an exile.

Aeneas was ordered by the fates to find a better empire. He was also ordered by the gods to flee.

Aeneas went to Macedonia, then was driven ashore to Sicily in a quest to find a home

Aeneas was accepted in King Latinus’ house as a guest. King Latinus agreed to have Aeneas marry Latvia.

This is Lavinium now, but it was different than right here. The Trojans built Lavinium for Aeneas, and he named it after his wife, Latvia.

Then Turnus declared war on Latinus and Aeneas. Aeneas brought his forces to battle. He had defeated the other king, Turnus. This was Aeneas last act before he died.
