INTRODUCTION TO ARCHITECTURE

Design intent:

We were required as a group of 6 to design an elementary school. This

design was based on a thorough research about the ideal specifications needed to

be achieved in a school design. And consequently we did design the school based

in the ideals researched. This project is to be built on a large plot in the fifth

settlement. The desire was to use it as a landmark to Egypt and for that we

intended to have Nubian theme as indicated in the following images. The project

was composed of:

1- 3 clusters of classes (each cluster has a different age range, expressed in

different leveling)

2- Staff cluster

3- Administration building

4- Library building

5- Gym

6- Cafeteria

7- Clinic

8- Sports area

9- Changing rooms
