Introduction

It was determined through a needs analysis that a current review of some of the common medications administered in Interventional Radiology was required. Due to the fast-paced nature in Interventional Radiology and the potentially dangerous procedures that our patients undergo, it is imperative that the nurses are competent, confident, and knowledgeable regarding the medications that are administered. This will help to prevent potentially dangerous and even fatal complications due to medication errors.
