Men's City League 1
Annerley F.C. VS Eastern Suburbs
6:30PM
Current LadderCoach: Danny Power
The City 1s have had a mixed run of results in recent weeks. After recording back to back wins against Taringa and Easts, thelast two rounds have seen close losses to Logan and HollandPark. Despite these latest results, the attitude of the boys hasbeen fantastic and every player that has been asked to play forthe City 1s, whether it be from the first team, Reserve team orCity 2 side, have come in and given 100%. The gaffer, DannyPower, has done a great job in managing a huge squad ofplayers and putting out a competitive team every game. Thisweek brings us a local derby against Eastern Suburbs. It is boundto be a tough game but the lads are eager and will be sure to putin a committed performance. Anyone who didn't manage toscore tickets to the Liverpool game should get out to this City 1blockbuster instead. You'll be glad you did!
City League 1 Update
Previous Men's Results...It was a tough weekend for the Annerley men, with no team recording a victory. City 2 managed somesuccess, drawing 1-1 at Mt Gravatt. The Capital 1s and reserves hosted North Star. Despitedominating possession, the Cap 1s went down 1-0. The Reserves were soundly beaten 3-1, bringing toan end an unbeaten streak that began in April. City 1 and City 3 both lost 2-1 in tight encountersagainst Holland Park and North Star, respectively. City 4 were beaten 4-1 by The Gap.
HOME GAME FIXTUREWOMEN'S
Saturday 18th June 2015
Brisbane Women's Premier League
Annerley F.C. VS Capabala
6:00PM
Coach: Anthony Costa
Our last fixture saw us take onCapalaba in a match in which avictory would have seen us moveto top spot on the ladder.Unfortunately, we produced ourworst performance of the season. This weekend sees us take onCapalaba again.
Coach's Corner! with Anthony Costa
Previous Women's Results...Whilst our BWPL team had the weekend off with a bye, all the City Teams had games. Our City 1 teamwent down 2-1 at Pine Hills and the City 4 and 5 teams both had close 1-0 losses to UQFC and NorthPine, respectively.
We welcome back two of our regular starters and haveclose to a full strength team. We have been workinghard at training to rectify our slight hiccup last matchand are looking forward to playing the brand offootball of which we are capable of. We know howtough Capalaba are and nothing less than a strongperformance will be required for us to secure thethree points.
