AFRICA2MOON

Despite the many hardships that Africa is currently expieriencing, technological researchers from all over the continent have joined together in order to launch a space prope to the moon called Africa2Moon. The Foundation for Space Development South Africa were the founders of the project. The idea of this was to inspire the children of Africa to "reach for the stars" to pull Africa forward in its science. "We aim to inspire, to educate and then once the mission has started, to do reasearch and science," said organization's chief executive Jonathan Weltman.By the end of January this team hopes to raise $150,000 to fund their first step. $21,000 have already been donated by excited natives. Backed by much of the world, many countries have already launched satelites to help collect data for the team. If everything goes according to plan, Africa2Moon will launch in 2018. Criticism and sceptics have followed this entire endevour but these scientists are continuing to follow through with their plan. I think that this is a wonderful opportunity for Africa to be ahead in recent technological advancements. Maybe this will be followed with medical funding. If the Africa2Moon mission succeeds, it will be a much needed triumph for Africa.
