Many of our students take part in a variety of after school activities and our After School program. In our school and in our after school programs, we are committed to meeting the needs of the whole child . Activities that promote responsibility , self-confidence and cooperation among diverse groups of students are emphasized.

These programs are natural extensions of the value system and structure we offer in the classroom. These activities offer your child a chance to socialize with friends, develop skills and have fun in a safe and familiar setting.

We are pleased to collaborate with a number of organizations and profes-sionals that share their expertise with our students in our after school activi-ties program.

Unless otherwise noted, after school activities take place Monday through Thursday, from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. and Friday the program starts at 3.45 p.m.

Swimming is one of the most complete sports activities as almost all muscles , motor coordina-tion, balance, the circulatory and respiratory systems work and exercise with this sport. In our classes organized by the Swimming Federation of the Valencian Community we will learn to swim with the little ones and we will improve our technique including different modalities such as water polo or synchronized swimming with those who already know how to swim . The groups are organized with one monitor for every 10 older children and two monitors with the little ones, with the aim of achieving good dynamics , carrying out both teaching and playful exercises and having fun sessions!

La natación es una de las actividades deportivas más completas ya que con este deporte se traba-jan y ejercitan casi todos los músculos, la coordinación motora, el equilibrio, el sistema circulatorio y respiratorio. En nuestras clases organizadas por la Federación de Natación de la Comunidad Valenciana aprenderemos a nadar con los más pequeños y perfeccionaremos técnica incluyendo diferentes modalidades como waterpolo o natación sincronizada con los que saben nadar. Los grupos trabajan un monitor por cada 10 niños/as mayores y dos monitores con los pequeños, con el objetivo de lograr una buena dinámica, llevar a cabo ejercicios tanto de enseñanza como lúdicos y conseguir unas sesiones muy divertidas!

This activity is designed to provide children with an introduction to basic soccer skills of passing, receiving, running with the ball, defensive and offensive skills. The objectives are taught through fun activities that teach the fundamentals of the sport and emphasize team concepts. This year we have created two age groups that train one day per week per group.

They will participate in a friendly league during the year that competes in matches (Group A - 1/month, Group B - 2/month).

The sport represents the best schooling of life for young people to teach them abilities and values that they need to be upstanding citizens.

Esta actividad está diseñada para proporcionar a los niños/as una introducción a las habilidades básicas de fútbol para pasar, recibir, correr con el balón, habilidades defensivas y ofensivas. Los objetivos se enseñan a través de actividades divertidas que enseñan los fundamentos del deporte y enfatizan los conceptos de equipo. Abrimos dos grupos por edades con entrenamiento un día a la semana por grupo.Hay una liga amistosa durante el año con partidos (1 vez / mes Grupo A, y 2 veces / mes Grupo B).

In our dance classes we enhance the dancers’ experience by creating a safe, professional environment that let’s them explore movement and creativity.

Drama education builds self-confidence, sparks creativity and boosts academic achievement. Each session can be adapted to fit the age of participants as well. Sessions consist of a short warm-up; a main activity of games, script work or performance; and a 10-minute cool-down. The program includes many different ways for members to express themselves creatively, from costumes to set design...

La educación dramática fomenta la confianza en uno mismo, estimula la creatividad y aumenta el rendimiento académico. Cada sesión se puede adaptar para adaptarse a la edad de los participan-tes también. Las sesiones consisten en un breve calentamiento; una actividad principal de juegos, guiones o presentaciones; y un enfriamiento de 10 minutos. The Power of Architecture. This program introduces kids to design process. This knowledge stimu-lates our spatial curiosity, our imagination, increasing the ability to observe and explore the envi-ronment. When children learn to observe their surroundings from the perspective of architecture, their environment becomes more understandable , and their active understanding facilitates the development of their creativity. It is about educating in urban pedagogy.

El poder de la arquitectura. Este programa introduce a los niños/as en el proceso de diseño. Su conocimiento estimula nuestra curiosidad espacial, nuestra imaginación, incrementando la capaci-dad de observación y exploración del entorno. Cuando un niño/a aprende a observar lo que le rodea desde la perspectiva de la arquitectura, su medio se hace más comprensible, y el entendi-miento activo del mismo facilita el desarrollo de su creatividad. Se trata de educar en la pedagogía urbana. Realizamos proyectos trimestrales!

Judo is one of the preferred martial arts for children. They develop their physical and psychic capacities at the same time that they learn such important values as companionship and respect for others . In addition, UNESCO has declared Judo as the best initial training sport for children and young people from 4 to 21 years old since it allows a comprehensive physical education , enhancing psychomotor skills and relationship with others, making use of play and self-defense as an integrating and energizing element.

In the judo classes of the Ana Carrascosa school we will work on psychomotricity , content learning and the relationship with others respecting the development and qualities of each student using the activity and its educational aspect as a common thread , learning their own techniques and foundations of each level / belt.

El judo es una de las artes marciales preferidas por los niños/as. Desarrollan sus capacidades físicas y psíquicas al mismo tiempo que aprenden valores tan importantes como el compañerismo o el respeto hacia los demás. Además, la UNESCO ha declarado el Judo como el mejor deporte inicial formativo para niños y jóvenes de 4 a 21 años, ya que permite una educación física integral, potenciando la psicomotricidad

y la relación con los demás, haciendo uso del juego y la lucha como elemento integra-

dor y dinamizador.

En las clases de judo de la escuela Ana Carrascosa trabajamos la psicomotricidad, el aprendizaje de contenidos y la relación con los demás respetando el desarrollo y cualidades propias de cada alumno utilizando el juego y su vertiente educativa como hilo conductor, aprendiendo las técnicas y funda-mentos propios de cada nivel/cinturón.

We are opening new groups in music that include introduction to instruments beginning in September. Music for Beginners (I-II ) and instruments are offered to the children. Appropriate for ages 3 to 12.

Abrimos nuevos grupos de música con introducción a instrumentos a partir de septiembre. Inicia-ción musical (I -II) y oferta de instrumentos para niños/as. Las edades se comprenden entre los 3 y los 12 años.

Instilling a slew of values such as fairness, team-building, equality, respect, and discipline, sports contribute to children developing the skills that are required in order to be a responsible global citizen. Sports is a powerful tool to teach everyone how to be a driver for social change and personal growth, all through teamwork.

Students will practice sports in a healthy, non-competitive and safe environment. They will be exposed to different sports and work in various age-level groups.

Maria Montessori en su metodología del "niño completo" reconoció la importancia de que los niños sean activos y de las actividades físicas. Inculcando una gran cantidad de valores como la equidad, el trabajo en equipo, la igualdad, el respeto y la disciplina, los deportes contribuyen a que los niños desarrollen las habilidades necesarias para ser un ciudadano global responsable. El deporte es una herramienta poderosa para enseñar a todos cómo ser impulsores del cambio social y el crecimiento personal, todo a través del trabajo en equipo.

Los estudiantes practicarán deportes en un ambiente sano, no competitivo y seguro. Estarán expuestos a diferentes deportes y trabajarán en varios grupos de edad.
