After the completion of Refurbishment & Maintenance work of EOT Crane- 30T Hoist, trial has been taken. In trail we observed some noise from Gear assembly of Gearboxes 2 nd / 3 rd stage. As per our discussion with Vendor & PO/SO, Gearbox / Gear Assembly job did not consider, for Comprehensive servicing resultant we have necessitate to check gearbox & revamp the Gear assembly. Except the Main Driving Shaft Keyway wear & tear, Gearbox has no physical damages found. At that time we were unable to identify the internal condition of Gearbox without dismantling it and it’s a big job.
