Let’s begin with unit – 2

EVEN NUMBERS:- with even numbers you make

pairs with no leftovers.

For eg.-

There are 2 pairs of cat and no leftover. So, 4 is an even number.

In short we can say the numbers that make pairs are called even numbers.

If the last digit of any number ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8..then the number is always an even number.

A number which is divisible by 2 and

generates a remainder of 0 is called an even number.

ODD NUMBERS :-

with odd numbers you will always have 1 leftover, while making pairs. For eg.- suppose, we have 5 cats. So we make the 2 pairs of cats but there is 1 lonely cat left. So.. number 5 is odd number.

An odd number is a number which is not divisible by 2. The remainder in the case of an odd number is always “1”.

NOTE:- In the number series when taken in continuation even and odd numbers comes alternatively.
