1. Books Acquisition:

Books Acquired in this part 575

Earlier collection 9,105

Donated books 400

Total collection 10,070

Total No of Books Collection Up to 30th March, 2016: 10070 Including Donated books.

2. Books Cataloguing:

7,800 books has been done up to 30th March, 2016, on KOHA Open Source library

automation software, using international standard format MARC 21.

3. Book Grading:

January – March 2016, total 856 new children books graded and labeled according to the

GROWBY method these books are ready to issue.

4. Library Activity Statistics: 16 lib

Total 2317 exposures in this quarter January – March 2016.

Our Library goal is “Every child ready to read”.

Building Vocabulary in Mother Tongue and English

Word building Activity through “Word Search”,

Sentence formation and story writing.(Pyramid Story )

Books Making activity, Origami paper crafts & Puppet making.

Special Events:

Science Day Celebrated for 3 days.

Art and Creativity fair was conducted at Art Lab in Agastya’s Kuppam campus by the

name of “KALA KOOTAMI “from 29th March 2016 to 31st March 2016. In this fair

Media arts, Library and Art department children were displayed activities done in

this academic year. The fair benefited 2654 participants in which 1255 Girls, 1196

Boys, 143 teachers from Government, and other schools along with 60 Operation

Vasantha volunteers. Our chairman Mr. Ramji Ragavan and regional managers from

Agastya visited the fair.
