2012 - Protons to HiRadMat
• Total: 1.4*1016 protons• About 48 hours of SPS cycling for HiRadMat
– Preparation, waiting and extractions– Similar time span in 2011 for commissioning

Shut-down work
• Installation of additional cabling– Mainly for vacuum and HQ signal
• Removal of experiments from – Remainders in TNC:
• LPROT (HRMT12): follow-up required• TISD (HRMT01): removal delayed by availability of class-A lab• TPSG4 (HRMT06) on target location: removal in April 2014
• Removal of WNAF collimator blocks– Minimum advancement– lengthy preparations for and discussions with authorities

Proposals
• 12 applications– Named 14xx (year 2014 + running number)– Running number in the order of reception
• 9 invited for presentation/discussion
• 3 proposals to be discussed “offline”“placing them on the radar screen”– TPGS4 (1402): repetition with slightly higher intensity– Supra Magnet (1406): later availability– Microphone (1411): purely parasitic

Time frame
• One experiment interested in ion operation• Half the user groups are interested in TA (Transnational Access)

Aim of Today
Review the proposals• Primarily based on the scientific value
But also • in view of schedule• Technical feasibility– Note: 3e13 p/pulse is the limit until spring 2015– at a later stage might reach 5e13 p/pulse
Follow-up: Written report on the view by the Board14/3/2014
