55 Rewari Transport Shifting of existing Bus

Stand

Rewari Town is today one of the most congested

towns of Haryana because of its industrial and

commercial prominence. Existing Bus Stand in

the Town is adding to the ever increasing

congestion. Hence, it would be in the larger

public interest to shift the existing Bus Stand to a

new site on Dharuhera Road.

The site marked for transport depot in the

Draft Development Plan-2021 AD (under

section 5 (4) of Act. No. 41 of 1963) is not

suitable keeping in view the public convenience.

Ideal Site for the new Roadways Depot will

be near the Rao Tula Ram Stadium on Rewari

Dharuhera Road.

Present fleet strength of Rewari Depot is 145

buses which is likely to go upto 200 buses in next

5 years. The land required for bus stand and

workshop will be approximately 20 Acres.

DTP, Rewari and General Manager, Haryana

Roadways, Rewari reported that the Govt. has

approved the proposed site in sector-12

measuring 20 Acres 5 K 16M vide Director

General State Transport letter No. 294/CA-1/C

dated 01-04-2011 further action is being taken as

per decision of the Government. Proposal for

acquiring the above land along with draft

notification Act has been sent to The Director

General, State Transport, Haryana, Chandigarh

vide this office memo no. 328/HRDF dated 27-

04-2011.

CS desired to
